Would African American hair products work on my hair?

I have thick, curly, coarse, dry, frizzy hair. I have tried every curly/frizzy/dry/severe damage shampoo, conditioner, and serum under the sun, and nothing even begins to work. Straightening my hair helps, but it leaves it so dry and coarse, even though I use flat iron spray. I've been told I have "black girl" hair before by stylists, but I've never really been told if I could use African American hair products. I've also been told before that a hot oil treatment would be good for my hair. What do you think?

If nothing else works try the unexpected.

Would African American hair products work on my hair?

Yeah. Try pantien. any kinda of good african american hair products

Would African American hair products work on my hair?

Yes................as long as you have the texture, and it sounds like you do..............

Of course you can. Try Creme of Nature and the hot oil thing but if you use a steamin' hot iron to straighten it, be careful cause it can smell burned and that can kill an intimate moment faster than see a picture of your parents making out.

i have that hair too, most black products are to heavy for my hair. hot oil treatments and leave in conditioner are the bomb..

What is "black girl" hair? I know some black people who have naturally straight hair, some with somewhat curly, and still others with very tight, natural curly hair, so I don't know who told you that, but you have to find the stuff that works for your hair type, not based on a STEREOtype.

I'm somewhat offended.

Go to the link and click on your hair types. Also, you can research on line the different natural ingredients that might help. I suspect, however, that your use of excessive heat is attributing to your hair's poor health. Good luck.

i would not use products for african americans on my hair if you are not african american. they have different hair and it will/can damage your head or hair. it may even warn you on the packaging too.

Use products for african americans, they were designed for your type of hair!

Would African American hair products work on my hair?

thanks for not puttin our hair down and using the right words but yea it will work/and u should try hot oil treatment

Would African American hair products work on my hair?

go for it, you can ask a black stylist if you should use black products or not...I'm sure they'll know.

If I were you, keep your hair protected from the sun and heat treatments like a flat iron, all that does is damage your hair more and in the long run make it worse so it takes more and more product to get it to "behave"

The african american hair products would work nice on your hair I am sure, I have lots of friends with hair similar to yours and that is what they use. The pink creme and the following

Girl360 needs to quit trippin, cause you obviously didn't mean it like that. I'm a black girl, and I say go for it. The products are for the hair TYPE not the race specifically. Do what you gotta do to look bomb, girl.

Would African American hair products work on my hair?

yea it will use Suave professionals 2in1smoothing shampoo+conditioner for dry or damaged hair

Would African American hair products work on my hair?

Yes, you should try African American hair products. Look for products that contain natural vegetable oils which are moisturizing to the hair. Avoid mineral oil and petrolatum which are drying to the hair and scalp.
