Get yourself a deep conditioning hair masque. A basic drug store brand works good (I've used the garnier fructis 3 minute masque). After you shampoo, let your hair dry a little bit, then apply from roots to ends, and leave it in for at least 3 minutes. Bringing a wide tooth comb with you in the shower helps too. Use it to comb the conditioner through. Don't comb or brush your hair after you washed the conditioner out, it will disengage the curl. I have curly hair too, which is color treated, and I flat iron pretty regularly, and my hair always feels better after I deep condition it. You should also cut a good inch or two off every 2 months. I know I need to get it cut when my hair feels very dry, and is no longer easy to style. My hair is always in the best condition every time I get it cut.

Aloe Vera,is a good remedy for dry hair. It is obtained from the leaves of the Aloe Vera plant. Break the leaf and squeeze out the liquid inside, apply this liquid to your scalp, keep for about an hour and wash it off . Check out http://solutionsfordryhair.blogspot.com/ for more info.
