Bleaching blach hair bleach blonde.?

Okay read this first or you will get a thumbs down.

Okay I have dyed black hair. Which Im going to dye to platinum blonde. I am also cutting 5 inches off my hair so I can get rid of the split ends and damage from previous chemical treatments. I am also going to use biolustre after. And Im using Manic Panic Virgin Snow as my toner. What bleach do you reccomend? Im going to sally's beauty to get supplies so tell me what you think :] aand If I need any other condtioning treatments.

Bleaching blach hair bleach blonde.?

Hey, I hope I can help. I have to tell you, I cannot stand it when people tell me I can't bleach my hair. I've been bleaching and coloring my hair for years and the only disaster I had was a couple years ago when a Sally associate rec. that I use a protein mask.... DO NOT USE (I also used the conditioning treatment after)! First off, I am a vegetarian and I'm pretty sure it was animal proteins because it smelled literally like death, second of all, it makes your hair too brittle and my hair started to break. It broke pretty short but I survived, just threw some purple and blue manic panic in there and I was good to go until it started to grow out. Its super healthy again and I'm ready to bust out the bleach. Just do it in steps and I like the little blue toner that you directly put into the bleach.... You buy em in single doses. Most bleaches are fine from the Rite Aid stuff to the beauty store stuff, I think it's technique...Purology is my favorite conditioner and of course biosilk serum after!

Bleaching blach hair bleach blonde.?

Oh and yeah.

clip in extensions saved my life :]

lol Report It

Bleaching blach hair bleach blonde.?

congrats! im on the same page as you....im kind of reddish right now. im being almost too careful but i love this color too hahah. ^_^ Report It

Bleaching blach hair bleach blonde.?

use the manic panic bleaching kit, it worked for my boyfriend, who has natural black hair, and he used it on his facial hair, which is even more coarse than head hair! they have that at sally's too.

Bleaching blach hair bleach blonde.?

girl ima need you to stop dying your hair because you are realling "killing" it

if u're not happy with your own hair color then just shave it off!

Bleaching blach hair bleach blonde.?

dont use manic panic belach i bought my bleach and poweder from sally's beauty store i have black hair as well i bougt a 40 cream (red) developer!!!!

Bleaching blach hair bleach blonde.?

they have this bleach in a powder i don't remember what its called but it works with out a toner you just need the iquid stuff to go with it my grandmas a butishion

Bleaching blach hair bleach blonde.?

when you go in to sallys buy the best bleach you can afford and get cream peroixd not liqiud to mix with the bleach i would buy 40vols nothing stronger.and the conditioner buy a product called infusium you spray it on a dont rinse it out just its a great leave in conditioner i use it in my salon all the time GOOD LUCK

Bleaching blach hair bleach blonde.?

lord i never trust myself with bleach...ill do all the color i want but when it comes to taking color away it scared me to death

i bet youll be pretty regardless : )

Hair Disaster Emergency - please help!?

I have lived in London for 12 years and had the same hairdresser. Now I'm back in Australia my quest to find a new hairdresser has been disastrous. The latest and most traumatic happened a couple of days ago, I went to yet another hairdresser who was supposed to be touching up my roots with the formula I gave her from my hairdresser in London. Because I have so much hair, foils usually need to be washed off in sections as they develop. She put a higher percentage bleach in one side of my hair to bring it up faster and now that side's all dry and frizzy. Some hair has broken off and the layers there have had to be cut shorter (bottom of my ear). I had long layered hair grown from pixi cut and the shortest layer was to my chin. I immediately had protein treatment put on and am not styling, just plying with Kerastase protein treatment, leave-in conditioner and coconut oil. Should I have my hair all chopped off or will the cuticle eventually smoothe out if I'm gentle with it?

Hair Disaster Emergency - please help!?

no is not a good idea to chopped off just cut your hair in a nice style and be patient it will grow sorry about what happens is terrible next time ask a friend about a good hairstyle yes the cuticle will eventually smoother have a nice day................................

Hair Disaster Emergency - please help!?

Yea, you should have shave your head and start over. Sorry to hear that happen to you.

African American: How long to grow tailbone length hair?

I am mixed with african american and asian.

My hair is about shoulder length now.

How long would it take me to grow my hair out to thick, tailbone length? How many years?

I have a regimen that I am following. Trims. Washing every AT LEAST once a week. Deep conditioning. Doing protein treatments. Massaging scalp w/oil. Low to no heat manipulation. Taking vitamins essential for healthy hair growth. Drinking 64 oz of water per day. Eating healthy. Exercising. Keeping hair in protective style, ie, big, thick plaits. etc. etc. So, with me properly taking care of my hair, how long do you think it will take to get to tailbone length?

Don't give dumb answers please.

Thanks in advance. =]

Any information given is greatly appreciated.

African American: How long to grow tailbone length hair?

use pantene thick and full.

African American: How long to grow tailbone length hair?

well, i am african american and have been growing my hair since birth. i am 22 now and all i have is this measly lower back lenght hair so who knows....

African American: How long to grow tailbone length hair?

typically hair grows 1/2 inch per month. not much else you can do but be healthy, unless you know someone with prescription prenatal vitamins i've done hair for 11 years, that's the only thing i've found to speed it up.

African American: How long to grow tailbone length hair?

ok ,if your hair isn't already thick then its not gonna get thicker .

make sure you dont wash ur hair too often ...

i would say about 2 -3 years your hair will grow that long , if its meant to be that long

African American: How long to grow tailbone length hair?

hey; im mixed with native american umm i drastically cut my hair in the 9th grade to shoulder length and right now its past the mid section of my back almost to the tailbone and its been...about 4 yrs but i have gotten like 3-4 inches cut off every so often from then till now so i would guess about 2 depending on how fast it grows %26amp; how much you get cut everytime you go to the hair dresser

African American: How long to grow tailbone length hair?

Hi I am a Afrro- Caribbean woman and It has taken me 5 years to grow my hair to the length of just past my back bra strap. In order for this to happen, I had to cut down on using relaxers, and almost stop heat styling it. along with all the stuff you incorporate in your regime

I recently found these two sites dedicated to us. and the health and maintainance of our hair. There are quite afew women, showing before and after photos, showing the progress.Take a look, you will be pleasantly suprised.

Relaxed hair?

Well i have relaxed hair and i hate it. MY hair is horribly damaged and my ends burn up very quickly. I've done the relaxer 4 or 5 times in the last 3 years. My hair is thick and used to be really, really curly. I have a few curls left but i want something that might bring them back. Any suggestions on shampoos, conditioners, leave-in-conditioners, treatments, or anything you can think of. Please i would really appreciate it.

Relaxed hair?

A relaxer permanently changes the structure of your hair, so you can not bring back the curls. The only thing that you can do to have curly hair again is let new hair grow back in. So, get your ends clipped and be patient. I ended up cutting my hair into a super short, sexy style because my hair looked so horrible with straight pieces and a few random curly pieces.

Relaxed hair?

there is a product that you can purchase on amazon called ... curlaway that supposedly will soften your curls as much as you use the product, but will not have harsh affects on your hair and will allow your curls to return as you dont use the product. I dont know anyone who has tried it, but it is supposed to be a good product. If you try it let me know how it works.

Relaxed hair?

since your hair is relaxed already and u want curls try putting some rollers in your hair overnight and maybe during the morning or when your not doing nothing that day and if that doesnt make an app. with your stylist to put curls in it 4 u.

Relaxed hair?

Olive Oil, my dear.

Wash, rinse, then a dab of olive oil in palm of hand. Rub through the obvious damaged part of your hair. Let it soak in overnight. Do your washing as usual.

Look for PH balanced shampoo. Don't bother with the "special" shampoos. Your hair is dead. Nothing is going to bring it back to life. But olive oil will coat it with a very thin layer of mineral oil that will allow you to do with it 'as you will'.

Only your hair will know how often and how much. Let it whisper to you. Take pre-natal vitamins. Ask any pregnant woman... Her hair and nails grow fast! It won't hurt you and will definately help you stay healthy.

Relaxed hair?

I know exactly how you feel about relaxed hair causing major damage. Relaxers are like addictive drugs to the hair.

Many of my friends, including myself have discussed how relaxers have permanently changed the texture of our hair, caused damage, etc. I don't understand why african american hair products have not improved. There should be a healthy alternative to relaxers at this day and age.

I have tried many products and nothing seems to completely restore my hair to the way it was in the past. Pantene has created shampoo and conditioner for african american hair. The pantene products help my hair along with the use of olive oil and hair mayonnaise.

Good luck to you.

Relaxed hair?

1. Go to a stylist so they can remove all damage that can't be rehabed with product. ( While there get a consult on haircare specific to your needs, most stylist do this for no extra cost)

2. Buy products that moisturize.

3. If you don't want relaxed hair, stop relaxing. Slowly you can transition out of your relaxed tresses. Since you are not relaxing alot it might be easier for you. You will however, have to slowly trim/cut the relaxed hair out.

Relaxed hair?

Perm straight hair is the only choice!

Applying texturizer to natural hair for the first time?

Hi,

Could anyone let me know what to expect from this treatment? I've never used a texturizer, and my hair isn't relaxed at the moment, it's all natural.

I have just decided to try a texturizer coz I want it softer without having to relax it. So my question now is, will I have to continuously apply texturizers (the way u'd do with a relaxer every few weeks) or will my hair just return to its natural form (without all the breaking process which you encounter when going back to natural from relaxed hair) if I stop applying a texturizers?

Thank you!

Applying texturizer to natural hair for the first time?

a texturizer is just a mild relaxer that is kept on for a shorter amount of time, so it just relaxs the kinks/curls instead of completely straightening it

I have really dead and dry hair. I want to fix it! HELP!?

Right now I have some hair extensions in...but also my real hair too.

Next time I get them put in..I think I am not going to leave any of my "real" hair out so that it can not be damaged by straightenign etc..

Is that a good idea?

Also what kinds of shampoo's and treatments are best?

Know anything about how trimming...ad how often you should get your hair trimmed?

Any info is appreciated!

I have really dead and dry hair. I want to fix it! HELP!?

If I were you, i would take the extensions out. Let you normal hair grow in. Stop with the straightening, becaeu it only leads to damage. Some color can be beneficial for your hair and make it look nice while your growing it out. No bleach though. I would talk to your hairstylist and let him/her know what you want to do. If your hair is short it will take time to get it at the lenght you want, but with patience you will get the hair naturally you want. I expereineced a bad perm when I was you and had to cut my long hair short, it took some time, but it grew back beautifully.

Can anyone tell how to get rid of dandruff and prevents hair loss?

I have dandruff for the past 6 years. I tried so many treatments.. but I could not able to control that.. now I am loosing my hair rapidly.. can any one suggest me the best treatment for this..

P.S... Now I am using head %26amp; shoulders Shammpoo

Can anyone tell how to get rid of dandruff and prevents hair loss?

Real dandruff is not flaky scalp, it's a yellowish crust like cradle cap. That requires a prescription from a dermitologist. You may want to have your thyroid checked if you are having dry scalp and hair loss. They are both symptoms. Head %26amp; Shoulders is one of the worst shampoos. Just use a clarifying shampoo and good oil treatments for conditioning.

for me when i had dandruf i used head and shoulders. it works good and it makes the dandruff go away. also, between shampooing try using a claryfing shampoo such as pantene pro v to remove andy build up that may seem or feel or look like dandruff.

Nizoral is suppose to be good for some types of hair loss as well as dandruff. Have you seen a doctor to determine type of hair loss. Also rogaine helps sometimes too depending on the type hair loss you have but be careful. I have heard of people who lost more hair using it.

While some hair fall daily is natural, stress, hairstyle products and lack of nutrition can cause excessive hair fall as listed at http://tinyurl.com/kshvn . By changing your lifestyle and using herbal remedies, you can reduce hair loss. More details available at http://tinyurl.com/py7z4 .

You should probably talk to a pro stylist. They usually know about stuff like that.

Cellophane treatment and hair growth.?

I am African American and have very dry hair. I perm it myself and it never has bounce or shine so a friend of mine told me about a treatment called a cellophane treatment. I wanted to know more about it. I also have problems with my hair growing. I want to know what makes black hair grow. I use to have beautiful long hair and I let a beautician do my hair. She put a super perm on it and it has never quite recovered from that . In fact almost all of my hair fell out. It grew back some but not the way it use to.

If you are a beautician please I'd love your response. Anyone who has gone through this your help would be much appreciated.

Cellophane treatment and hair growth.?

Hey Girl, I got you !!!

This is what you need (read carefully, its alot, but it will change everything!). You need to make sure you hair has MOISTURE (is moisturized) ...

I use "Just For Me" kids relaxer (Im 21, but Mixed, so I can't use the strong adult African-American perms because they break my hair.) Its always better to use a weaker perm for your hair than a really strong one. A perm/relaxer that is too stong is the major cause in hair weakness, breakage %26amp; drying (its a sign of over-processing). I advise that you choose the best for you (Your Choice) but make sure its not too strong. Dont buy the strongest one on the market. Start weak and if you need to increase then do it next time around.

(Suggestions)

http://www.softsheen-carson.com/?c=13%26amp;ca... Care Relaxer

http://www.softsheen-carson.com/?c=13%26amp;ca... ...Dark %26amp; Lovely

http://www.proline-intl.com/just.cfm ...Just For Me

I also use "Motions CPR" Conditioning Treatment EVERY week. After you wash your hair, use CPR, put a plastic cap on and sit under a hooded/bonnet hard-hat dryer for 10-15 mins, then wash it out. (This is Deep Conditioning) And this is the BEST thing you can do for weak, thin, dry or damaged hair... hint *CPR (Critical Repair and Treatment). It really does seal you hair cuticles and flood them with protein and moisture. It repairs your hair and make it so much stronger and grow fast too. It also keeps your hair healthy even if it already is. It's great!!!

http://www.motionshair.com/M_products/M_... ...Motions CPR

That will stop the breakage and add moisture. The next thing you need is a Protein Restructurer. Perms/relaxers and other harsh treatments distroy the natural protein-bonds in our hair. This will not rebuild them, but it will resturure the bonds that you do have left. (Thats why its best to use a weaker perm because it doesnt cause as many bonds to break.) Motions has this also and it works really well to start restructuring your hair. Healthy hair will hold moisture better.

http://www.motionshair.com/M_products/M_... ...Protein Restructuror

I get my hair straighten once every season (fall, winter, spring %26amp; summer) so thats also the same time I get my hair trimed. You need to trim your ends too. This is very important to slowly get rid of those dead/split ends which causes moisture lost. Split ends causes your hair to break, because it cant properly hold moisture, which causes your hair cutiles to open wider and break. This makes hair thin from the loss of stands and stunks hair growth. (Slip Ends = Dry Hair and Broken Hair !!!)

* Make sure you are being kind to your ENDS, dont use curlers or flat irons unless absolutely nessary (use rollers more). Stay away from the blow dryer (try to use sit-under dryers). General Rule, "Stay away from HEAT."

http://www.motionshair.com/M_products/M_... ...Moisterizer

You can find all of this at Sally's and any Black hair store and most of it at Wal-Mart.

Also our hair is made of protein (all protein), so you may want to look into your diet and make sure you are getting enough. Taking a women's multi-vitamin (or pre-natal) or Biotin everday will make sure you are getting enough of it, along with calcium which our hair also loves. You have to take care of your hair from the inside and out. Hair products take care of the outside. But you also have to check on the inside... your diet! to make sure your hair has what it even needs to grow and thicken.

I hope I have helped.

Shampoo %26amp; Conditioner

http://www.cremeofnature.com/ (Creme of Nature Shampoo %26amp; Conditioner all in one) It's great.

* Dont use Detangling shampoos though (they are good but not what you need), always use Mosterizing shampoos.

Cellophane treatment and hair growth.?

Mixed閳绢檲eauty - I'm looking into relaxing my hair (again) and the info you provided is great! I had stopped relaxing my hair due to dryness and breakage. After reading your comments I feel there is a way to have both healthy and relaxed hair. Thank you for your comments. Report It

Would a hair dresser be able to shape my eyebrows and make them more feminine looking?

My hair dresser is a lovely girl but I do not want to make her feel uncomfortable, she has cut my hair for two years now and is very good. I know she is doing other beauty treatments in the salon, but is it likely she would freak out if I ask her to make my eyebrows more gender neutral, and maybe more feminine in style without giving too much away?

Would a hair dresser be able to shape my eyebrows and make them more feminine looking?

Just book in for an eyebrow shaping and before she does it she will ask you what you are looking to achieve, you could say you just want them to look neater and tidier. Once she does them you thank her and say that's great...then at your next appointment if you want them even more feminine just say you'd like them a bit more thinner. The reason I've suggested doing it in a couple of stages is so that it doesn't look such a drastic difference to your appearance immediately so people won't think straight away oh hes had his eyebrows done. Gradually is more subtle.

Would a hair dresser be able to shape my eyebrows and make them more feminine looking?

why would she be offended by that- if she does eyebrows than I see no problem with her doing it-

Would a hair dresser be able to shape my eyebrows and make them more feminine looking?

why not explain it to her properly and you may make a friend for life...well a hairdresser at least. If she freaks change your hairdresser....plenty of talented people out there.

Would a hair dresser be able to shape my eyebrows and make them more feminine looking?

definitely it would not be much of a big deal for your hairdresser to shape your eyebrows.

Would a hair dresser be able to shape my eyebrows and make them more feminine looking?

just ask her to shape them for you lots of men have it done now so don't worry .... why don't you want people to know be PROUD of who you are good luck

Would a hair dresser be able to shape my eyebrows and make them more feminine looking?

Most hair dressers can easily wax the eyebrows. If you want to find out her reaction ask her something like " what do you think about guys getting their eyebrows done?" Or something like that. If your not comfortable with that then you can always go somewhere else to get them done. But then she will notice them different and could be insulted.

Either way they get paid to do hair and wether she agrees with what you want done she will do it.

Would a hair dresser be able to shape my eyebrows and make them more feminine looking?

Wouldn't hurt to ask her, "hey, I was thinking about getting my eyebrows shaped, they're a little aggressive for me as they are. What do you think?" and if she doesn't do that she could probably connect you with someone who can. Maybe say you're looking for a more "elegant" or "gentle" or "subtle" look for them, if you're uncomfortable saying you want them more feminine.

Do be aware that's probably going to be a waxing or plucking operation, though.

Would a hair dresser be able to shape my eyebrows and make them more feminine looking?

One of the things most hair dressers do is shape eyebrows. If she doesn't know how, find one who does.

Would a hair dresser be able to shape my eyebrows and make them more feminine looking?

it depends on how your eyebrows are shaped.... and i dont think she would care... thats her job to make sure you're satisfied with whatever you're getting... not to be mean but this is kind of a dumb question...

Would a hair dresser be able to shape my eyebrows and make them more feminine looking?

If she's a professional, she won't mind at all.

If she's narrow-minded and combines church and state, so to speak, it's time to find a new hair dresser.

Would a hair dresser be able to shape my eyebrows and make them more feminine looking?

I am sure loads of men get their eyebrows done, I know lots of men have massages in beauty salons... so whats the difference really? Just ask... theres no reason why she wouldnt.. shed be taking ur money after all!

Would a hair dresser be able to shape my eyebrows and make them more feminine looking?

She won't mind

She will already know you are gay so there won't be any problem.

Just ask her

Would a hair dresser be able to shape my eyebrows and make them more feminine looking?

Go to another beauty salon, maybe one in a larger city, for your eyebrow shaping.

Save you feeling uncomfortable

Would a hair dresser be able to shape my eyebrows and make them more feminine looking?

not at all just show her a pic of how u want them and shell do it simple look on the internet for femine eyebrows

Would a hair dresser be able to shape my eyebrows and make them more feminine looking?

i don't see why she would feel uncomfortable. Casually say

" I'm thinking of changing my eyebrows what do you think? Im thinking of making them thinner." If she sounds uncomfortable then talk to a cosmetologist

Would a hair dresser be able to shape my eyebrows and make them more feminine looking?

lovely girls never judge people she'd be happy to help more and more men are having their eyebrows shaped now...

Would a hair dresser be able to shape my eyebrows and make them more feminine looking?

go for it

Would a hair dresser be able to shape my eyebrows and make them more feminine looking?

Mine is a cruly hair, iam suffering with a lot of hair fall how can i maintain my hair can you sugge

i have tried a lot of treatments but results was not found can u suggest me the shampoo to be used and treatment to be done for the growth of my hair.

Mine is a cruly hair, iam suffering with a lot of hair fall how can i maintain my hair can you suggest me?

Stress can seriously affect your hair falling out. Have you been under a great amount of stress lately?

Also, your diet is a contributing factor. Try eating plenty of fresh veggies and stay away from fried food.

Go to GNC and buy some BIOTIN. This is a B-vitamin that aids in body growth, specifically hair and nails.

Hope this helps!

Mine is a cruly hair, iam suffering with a lot of hair fall how can i maintain my hair can you suggest me?

trying using a lot of conditioner.

Mine is a cruly hair, iam suffering with a lot of hair fall how can i maintain my hair can you suggest me?

Sometimes your hair just falls out. I'm 15 and I have hair fall out on a regular basis. My hair tends to fall out in the spring and summer. I think that it is just a seasonal thing.

Mine is a cruly hair, iam suffering with a lot of hair fall how can i maintain my hair can you suggest me?

Hair fall could be as a result of series of physical and hormonic problems. I would get my thyroid checked. I would also look into a product called "Rogaine." I would also used the same brand in shampoo and conditioner. Good Luck!

Dry hair....help!?

my hair is really dry. I got a deep conditioning treatment, but it didnt do much. Any suggestions?

i need to re-color it soon because my roots are getting bad.

Dry hair....help!?

try this

1%26gt;massage your hair with olive oil.. leave it in for sometime.. shampoo %26amp; condition it later..

2%26gt;If your hair is colored use a shampoo meant for colored hairs.

3%26gt;Another home remedy is to use egg white .. leave it in hair for sometime and shampoo.

For me olive oil has worked out the best!! try it.. it always works...

Dry hair....help!?

hair tonic vasaline really does work !

Dry hair....help!?

Try an extra virgin olive oil treatment, if that doesnt help, then you can go to a hair salon to get a professional deep conditioning treatment..also if you recolor use a root touch up, not a full head dye. you dont want to damage it more than it already is.

Dry hair....help!?

try getting a haircut..at least the dead ends trimmed off because that always makes hair feel not so dry and damaged. and then at the salon buy biolage conditioner and shampoo...it's about 30-40 bucks for the set...depending on if you get the big or little bottles. it REALLY works. just use it everyday and after a couple days your hair will feel SO much better...and make sure you use a clarifying shampoo about once a week because it takes all of the buildup out of your hair...like hairspray etc. dont use it too much b/c it CAN dry out your hair. and use a leave in conditioner everyday or every other. it will keep it from drying out so fast.

OR you could try using vinegar in your hair and washing it out after about 10 mins. it always worked for me. good luck.

and yeah, those hot oil treatments/deep conditioning never work for me either.

Dry hair....help!?

i got my hair straightened, and it got pretty damaged. so now i use dove shampoo treatment for severly damaged hair- it works really nicely!

Dry hair....help!?

well if ur hair is dry after a deep conditioning...then that means u got split ends...split ends will never retain moisture, so they remain dry. try a hot oil treatment...ive only gotten 2 of those...and the first one i got from a store...and it was kinda bad...and so i decided to make one myself. all i did was use olive oil from the kitchen, and heated it up and then i put it in my hair. and then use a plastic cap on your hair or wrap it in a warm towel. and wait for about an hour. if ur hair is really dry, wait for an hour, if its starting to get dry but not that dry, do 30 minutes. and when i was done, i rinsed it out, without any shampoo cuz that would strip it all out. so then i used a deep conditioner on it when i ran water thru my hair. and left the conditioner in for 10 minutes. and my hair was looking good! so try that

ADD: oh yeah...and shampoo before u put the oil in ur hair. cuz the conditioner has silicone in it, and the silicone coats the hair strand, so if u dont shampoo the hair first, then the hair will still be coated with silicone, and the silicone doesnt allow any moisture to be in the hair strand cuz its like a barrier, it covers it. so the hot oil treatment wouldnt do any good cuz no moisture would get in, so yeah. shampoo or clarify first. and then put the olive oil in and then deep condition.

Dry hair....help!?

use diffrent kinds of oil find the one which really siuts u and use lemon all over u hair specaily in the scalp just before u wash and dont use too much shampoo

Dry hair....help!?

for really dry hair make sure you use a moisturizing shampoo . Then use a conditioner after..since your hair is really dried out i would suggest using a leave-in conditioner since it sometimes makes ur hair oily, which will give it moisture! Your hair sounds like its dry because its damaged. Try not to use any heat on it (blow-dryers, hair straighteners, curling irons etc.) because those realllllly dry out your hair. Also when you go out in the sun, try to use a hair-spray that protects your hair from getting heat damage in the sun because sun can dry out your hair too....so can pools.

Dry hair....help!?

I have dry hair also (it comes with coloring territory:))

Here's what I do that helps a lot. Take about a 1/4 cup of olive oil and warm it in the microwave for like 8 sec. (you want it warm but not hot) take a wide tooth comb and dip the comb into the oil and comb it through your dry hair (that's a big mistake most people make, if you place anything with oil on wet hair, the oil can't penetrate). Comb enough oil through so that its saturated, but not soaking wet. Get a shower cap a put your hair under it for a few hours. (if you have a heating pad, you can put that on your head for a few minutes over the shower cap.

Wash your hair twice, and use your daily conditioner, You will see and feel the difference immediately!

Good luck!

Dry hair....help!?

try using vinager. that helped my cousin alot. and if you straighten your hair a lot and you have really curly hair that might be another reason. let the cinager sit in for like 10-15 minutes.

Dry hair....help!?

Dry hair....help!?

Try the tips in the source with your deep treatment, it should help after a few weeks.

Dry hair....help!?

Try this. I SWEAR it helps.

Eggs-traordinary Hair Mask

Ingredients:

2-Raw Eggs

1-Tablespoon Olive Oil

Approx. 4 Drops of Honey

Whisk all of the ingredients together like your about to make scrambled eggs or something. Drench your hair in the mixture. I mean, like, SOAK it, but don閳ユ獩 make it drippy. It will feel really weird. Leave it in until the mixture dries on your hair (could be an hour and a half or so). Shampoo a bunch until you are SURE you got all of it out. Wash hair however you normally do and style like normal. Hair will be softer and shinier than before. Repeat once every other week for optimum results.

Dry hair....help!?

Dont go out and buy anything expensive.

First: Purchase a mild Shampoo (To Clarify hair, I will explain why)

Second: TRIM your hair ends (May 1 1/2 to 2 inches)

Third: Here's the magic part: Mix olive oil, almond oil, coconut oil, avocado oil and a "little" honey, (honey u will have to heat so it can blend). Either leave on ALL day or all night (if all nite, DONT use honey)

Repeat this 3-4 times a week, your hair will grow like a weed %26amp; remove all frizz I promise,..... and it will be super shiny!!!!

The clairifying shampoo will help take the oil off your hair when u shower

You can find olive oil anywere, but the other oils you will have to buy at a local organics store, wholes foods or BJ's health corner.

How do I make my hair less brittle?

I had the Japanese straightening treatment done, but now the ends of my hair are brittle. I've tried leave in conditioners but it doesn't seem to work. Any ideas besides cutting it?

How do I make my hair less brittle?

For my dry ends I use Redken All Soft butter treatment. I leave it on for about 10 minutes while I am in the shower. It makes my hair so soft. I only do it about once a week. Also V05 hot oil works good too.

How do I make my hair less brittle?

You need to get a good hair cut, but if you do not want to do that, you may consider treating your hair to a mixture of eggs, olive oil and mayo. This combination does a great job in reviving your hair. Go to a drugstore, where the African-American hair products are displayed and look for Organic Mayo. This product is excellent for getting rid of dry and damaged hair. Use this once a week-

I need a strong hair inhibitor cream.?

What hair inhibitor cream can I buy either prescription strength or over the counter that will slow hair growth and eventually keep it from growing back. I don't want laser treatments or electrolysis and waxing is painful.

I need a strong hair inhibitor cream.?

Ther is a papaya serum made by Depileve, you would need to get an esthetics salon thatretails the product. Try there website. It worked for me.

just found this:

Hair removable(permanent) products for man!?

I am not a hairy 37 year old male however I have a little patch of hair(in 2 spot) that keeps growing back rather rapidly after I use my electric clippers to remove it. Are there any products like a cream that someone who has used before and could recommend me to. Or if anybody has suggestions, please pass it on. Because I have very little hair, these spots stand out and actually look kinda funny or strange. Just want to get rid of them once and for all. Cannot afford any medical laser treatments coz those things run into the tens of thousands. Basiclly need something I can use at home. Seen afew commercials but haven't seen anything really out there for man. Also FYI, these patches of hair(s) are circular and about the size of the circumferance of a coke can.One spot is between my shoulder blades and the other is dead center on my back at about wasteline level. Thanks for reading and all the information you can give me!!

Is homeopathic treatment adequate for scalp fungal infection ?

I am having fungal infection of scalp. I am taking homeopathic medicines and washing my hair everyday, along with candid TV twice weekly. I have been taking treatment for last 1.5 months. I still feel my scalp sore and hurting, itches in some parts and hair fall is also there. should i continue with homeopathic treatment or should I take allopathic anti fungal medicines ?

Is homeopathic treatment adequate for scalp fungal infection ?

Please stop that treatment.

Go to allopathic medicine.

In allopathy, it has effective medicines

Is homeopathic treatment adequate for scalp fungal infection ?

Listerine will clear it up. Dip a cotton ball in listerine and part your hair and put it on your scalp. Leave it for about 10-15 minutes, then wash you hair. Also tea tree oil should help too.

Is homeopathic treatment adequate for scalp fungal infection ?

Homeopathy is not that effective. Consult some dermatologist for better medication.

Is homeopathic treatment adequate for scalp fungal infection ?

When you take homeopathy, do not apply candid without consultingthe doctor. It may react. omeopathy is best and it will cure.

Is homeopathic treatment adequate for scalp fungal infection ?

Use a Betnovate scalp solution after washing your hair regularly and it should help alleviate the infection.

Or rinsing with mild dettol after the hair has been shampooed is another option.

But do consult a doctor- they can assist you better than a yahoo forum!

Is homeopathic treatment adequate for scalp fungal infection ?

Homeopathic remedies won't cure any physical condition, because they contain not a single active ingredient.

Don't waste your time or cash on this fantasy.

Does the permanent hair straightening you get at a salon make it silky and managble like a hot iron?

My hair is real thick, curly and course so the flat iron makes it look like human hair. i just wanna know if the permanent chemical treatment works the same way

Does the permanent hair straightening you get at a salon make it silky and managble like a hot iron?

donttttttttttttt do it... it breaks your hairoff, and it's way to hard to manage it...trust me i did it, and regret it

Does the permanent hair straightening you get at a salon make it silky and managble like a hot iron?

No it makes it VERY dry and sort of frizzy. get a straightening spray to use with the flat iron.

Does the permanent hair straightening you get at a salon make it silky and managble like a hot iron?

It is terrible for your hair and makes it SUPER frizzy! it lasts 6-9 months and at the end it looks terrible and wavy! during the whole time it looks frizzy and dry. if you have really curly hair try a light blowdry and some texturizing cream or just but jell in your hair. you colud also try curling it or a cute up do...like a bun %26amp; ribbon.

Ill do anythinng to fix my stupid curly hair!!!!!!!!?

ok so if you have never seen the hills tv show u probaly wont no what im talkin about i want hair just like laurens (not the same color) just the straightness it's as strait as a pin!! welll my hair is brown and down to about the tops of my shoulders very wavy curly and frisy i have a flat iron which is a mega hot {thats the brand} it goes up to 400 degres and was 80 bucks from a salon it works fine if u like to take and hour to straiten you hair! but then my hair is very strait and i like it that way! so what are some products i can try that will make my hair strait in half the time or keep it strait for a long time??or treatments that i could do??

Ill do anythinng to fix my stupid curly hair!!!!!!!!?

You have to understand that TV shows have hair stylists on-set so that the actresses can keep their hair looking like it does. So, these actresses likely to spend an hour (at least) on-set prior to shooting just getting the hair to look (and stay) that way. It might look like it's effortless, but it's a guarantee that these shows hire hair stylists to make it look like their coifs are effortless when they're anything but.

If you want straight hair and your hair is naturally curly, you either use a chemical straightener on it or you continue to use an iron to straighten it. Those are the best options available unless you want to visit a salon every day (which is effectively what TV stars do on-set).

Ill do anythinng to fix my stupid curly hair!!!!!!!!?

GET A PERM KEEPS UR HAIR STRAIGHT

Ill do anythinng to fix my stupid curly hair!!!!!!!!?

Try a hair relaxing cream or gel. My moms cousins hair sounds exactly the same, and she used some and it works really good!

Ill do anythinng to fix my stupid curly hair!!!!!!!!?

You could try blow drying it with a round brush, and then straightening it. Use a starightening or defrizzing product like Bed Head, Control Freak.

Ill do anythinng to fix my stupid curly hair!!!!!!!!?

get a perm it helps straightin out the curls

Ill do anythinng to fix my stupid curly hair!!!!!!!!?

A ceramic straightner will lock in the heat and straight your hair faster. Use the Biosilk serum, it will keep the frizz undercontrol. Also if possible, get someone to do the back of your hair. The back will stay wavy and is a tell tale sign that you have curly hair.

Ill do anythinng to fix my stupid curly hair!!!!!!!!?

You could get a straight perm first. Then after that you would want to use,"Pin Straight Shampoo" By Herbal Essence. (It is the pink kind.) Good Luck!

Ill do anythinng to fix my stupid curly hair!!!!!!!!?

why does everyone like straight hair. I die for curly hair. Have you seen those Pantene commercials. Having curly hair is so much better. It has more volume. Why not try products of Pantene to fix your hair. Pick me as Best Answer? Yes?

Ill do anythinng to fix my stupid curly hair!!!!!!!!?

you can get thermal reconditiong

also know as thermal hair straightening

it can make your hair pin straight and the

part that has already been treated will be straight

forever and you only have to get touch ups.

it can range from $500-$1,000

its a tedious procedure and takes about

8hours.

If you get it you can't go back and you'll have to cut it off

and let it grow back.

Ill do anythinng to fix my stupid curly hair!!!!!!!!?

well by the sounds of it my hair is the same just longer

and it annoys me as well i use a product call super skinny it is really good you apply wen wet and blow dry your hair then straighten it you the reapply wen dry it makes your hair look smooth soft and shiney it also takes the frizz off i get it from my sallon

but wen i want my hair curly i just apply ALOT of moose and it then blow dry uses a defuser untill almost dry and thne apply more moose and dry again it normally work for a few hours then i need to apply more moose as u can tell im still workin on makin it stay curly myself

hope this helps xx

Does it matter to a women if a guy starts to lose his hair?

I am in my late twenties and my hair is disappearing! I can't afford the treatment to replace it. I feel no woman will ever want to marry me now. Is it really true that women don閳ユ獩 care if a guy is balding?

Does it matter to a women if a guy starts to lose his hair?

no i wouldn't mind it. a lot of men are like that. it's quite far down on the list to be honest lol. of course someone will want to marry you, with receding hair or not. you sound like a nice person.

Does it matter to a women if a guy starts to lose his hair?

No way. I think bald men are very sexy...

Does it matter to a women if a guy starts to lose his hair?

lmao

Does it matter to a women if a guy starts to lose his hair?

it can to some but id duznt matta to others

Does it matter to a women if a guy starts to lose his hair?

Go bald...women find it more sexy....

Does it matter to a women if a guy starts to lose his hair?

I have seen many butiful gals going for bald men. I think they don't care as long as you are good otherwise. So dont worry, best of luck!

Does it matter to a women if a guy starts to lose his hair?

It matters to some people to me personally it doesnt.

Does it matter to a women if a guy starts to lose his hair?

Some women want the hair and others don't care about the hair. The women that don't care about the hair care about the character this is what I would choose.

Does it matter to a women if a guy starts to lose his hair?

I only want men with no hair. I like them BALD! where do you live lets go out!?

Does it matter to a women if a guy starts to lose his hair?

As far as you've got a good personality, balding doesn't really matter... I've got a bald friend who is very confident in his own skin, deep communication and convincing skills and currently has 6 affairs going on.

I've got Millions of hair on my head, but still looking for a female... I sometimes feel, why am i not bald ?

So, the moral of the story is...... Get bald as soon as possible.

Does it matter to a women if a guy starts to lose his hair?

Balding is normally associated with old age and a baldy looks older than his real age.To that extent what you fear is true.; However, if you are otherwise healthy and strong it will not stand in your way.Generally we women have a better grasp of things and the uncannyl ability of seeing through to the underlying truth. One of my friends who suffered from the same complex as yours put on a wig but the first thing his gf did when they were alone was to pull down the wig saying, 'Silly, what we girls look for is what lies under theheaddress!

Does it matter to a women if a guy starts to lose his hair?

no, as long as he has a fat wallet...

Ok i am very curious who has actually undergone laser hair removal?

Did you hair start breaking when you got highlights?

Im getting highlights for the first time next week but what to know if anyone experienced hair damage? What are some necessary treatments I should be doing with highlights? Thanks

Did you hair start breaking when you got highlights?

Hi! I have been getting my hair highlighted with bleach blonde highlights for the past 4 years or so. I haven't had any true problems of breakage. My sister is a beautician. The thing is that breakage all depends on the condition of your hair before highlighting and how well you take care of it after. Highlights aren't for everyone. If your hair is brittle and breaks before dying then it's definitely not a good idea to highlight it. If you get relaxers you want to make sure you get your highlights no less than 2 weeks after your relaxer and get your next one 2 weeks after you get your highlights. This prevents your hair from being a chemical disaster! After you get your highlights you want to make sure you use a good shampoo and conditioner and a good leave-in conditioner. I usually use Cream-of-Nature shampoo and conditioner and IC leave-in conditioner... all of which can be found at your local beauty supply store or Sally's Beauty supply. You also want to make sure that you stay away from too much blow drying. High amounts of heat will break your hair if you have the bleach blonde streaks. I usually do a roller wrap or occassionally flat ironing and I do fine. You also want to be sure to keep your ends well trimmed. Too many split ends will lead to overall breakage. Keep your hair hydrated with a light oil moisturizer or oil sheen. If you think your hair is shedding after the color treatment there is this stuff called Afogee (not sure if i spelled that right). It works really well with strengthening your hair. Hope this helped, but if you or your beautician don't think your hair is healthy enough to maintain during this process, maybe you should wait! Good luck!

Did you hair start breaking when you got highlights?

i have highlights nad only the ends will split . that happens to every hair . you can keep the highlights hydrated so have a hydrating shampoo one for highlights , like panteene and your hair will be soft and nice

Did you hair start breaking when you got highlights?

If you've just relaxed your hair highlights is a no-no! Your hair will break off if you dye your hair after relaxing it. However, if you get it professionally done then you might be able to save your hair. If you can't afford to get them professionally done don't do it.

Did you hair start breaking when you got highlights?

it truely depends on what color ur getting because if ur getting blech blonde highlights then it will damage easy if u dont take care of it properly. but if ur getting another color then just make sure u use the right shampoo and conditioner and only COMB ur hair when its wet or it will break

I have really light hair but I want it to be just a little lighter?

I already have pretty damaged hair, because I originally had very dark blonde hair and then I got it toned, dyed, then bleached to a lighter color (not all on the same day though, i did it over a stretch of time). Its really light now, but its more like a very pale yellow-blonde and not a white-blonde.

I REALLY dont want to have to pay $100 dollars to get it bleached proffesionally again, so is there anything that I can do by myself to make it that white-blonde im trying to achieve? Or will I just have to bleach it again?

Please dont preach me on how damaging it is and stuff, I use this coconut milk stuff a lot to keep my hair healthy, and Im considering getting a deep conditioning treatment.

I also dont want people telling me that it will look trashy and cheap because Im a very classy person and I think I can pull it off well.

Please help!

I have really light hair but I want it to be just a little lighter?

Your hair is the only hair you have. I have had girlfriends in your predicament who did peroxides or bleach jobs and OMG did it look bad, like their hair was totally fried. If you care how you look, you really need to fork over the cash and get a professional to do it for you. That is the bottom line.

I have really light hair but I want it to be just a little lighter?

to be honset i think u have ruined your hair but if you want it lighter lemon juice helps after a while and if you have damaged hair try sunsilk for damaged hair it will help

Laser Hair Removal for Legs/Bikini Area???

After years of being dissatisfied with SHAVING (bumps, scruffiness, immediate re-growth), DEPILATORIES (smell, inconsistancy) and WAXING (in-grown hairs), I'm ready for something else. How well does LHR keep coarse body hair at bay? and for how long can I expect to keep the results? COST for treatments?

Laser Hair Removal for Legs/Bikini Area???

laser hair removal is NOT permanent... but it is sufficient in reducing the majority of the hair coarseness and growth.

Bikini lines can run around anywhere from 200 a treatment and up and you could need more than 7 or 8 treatments... legs can run in the thousands and take a long time as far as appointment scheduling because the light thatis used is pulsed and comes out like a small square patch on the skin for each are that has hair so for bikini and leg removal you might be looking at 3-4 hours of treatment each time and a good bit of money... it would be well worth it though

at achieving an overall desires and smoother effect without the hassle of bumps and depilatory chemical burns... check for a medical spa in your area that is run by a medical doctor and do not be afraid to ask for credentials... laser if in the hands of the wrong person administering it can cause serious scarring.

Laser Hair Removal for Legs/Bikini Area???

go for it! it takes a few treatments with your doctor but its painless and is way way way worth the cost (approx $600)

Laser Hair Removal for Legs/Bikini Area???

Laser does help reduce hairgrowth and ingrowns alot. it kills hair follicles from the root making new hair very light . After like three to four sessions you will see very noticeable difference. Hair comes back in patches and in some places they just go away for good even in the begining.

After 8 sessions its completely gone and skin will feel lot smoother and light.. I highly recommed laser in that area. Its one of the best thing I have done it to myself.

Laser Hair Removal for Legs/Bikini Area???

As a beauty therapist laser is big for hair removal at the moment.

It isn't permanent it is classed as hair reduction even though you will end up with no hair it would only last about 5yrs.

Bikini line would be a lot quicker than legs and to have a treament would only be about 30-40mins, hair would have to be trimmed first as there is a smell of burning hair when it is done.

It depends on the person to how many treatments you would need but up to 6 would do it, legs would take much longer depending on how long your legs are.

Cost wise I'm in New Zealand so don't know the prices where you are but just phone around and get some quotes.

Please make sure that you go to someone who is qualified or it is very easy to end up with scars from someone not properly trained.

Good luck

Any tips for maintaining recently straightened hair?

Hi... I got my(formerly very curly %26amp; frizzy) hair straightened a couple of days back. Do I have to use any conditioners to maintain it? Also, will such chemical treatment have any long-term effects on my hair? Any other tips? Thanks!

Any tips for maintaining recently straightened hair?

Chemical treatments in hair stay for a couple of months , you can use conditioners. But if it didn't stay much, it is not prefferable to use the straightener after it by a short time because chemical treatments could sometimes be very dangerous!

Any tips for maintaining recently straightened hair?

Keep it combed out. If you are lazy, you will suffer. Flat iron every two days will keep you on point. Or even a curling iron will do.

I went to a trichologist yesterday because my hair has been getting thinner and thinner each day and

He said instead of like regular dandruff that flakes off, my scalp is oily and that the sebaceous glands are clogged with the dandruff and it is making each new hair grow in thinner and thinner and not allowing my hair to grow very long. I'm very disheartened. I've been very depressed about this hair to the point of avoiding wind activities and some public activities. I used to have long naturally curly fine thin hair but it was thick enough to look thick and pretty. Now I look like I've been through chemo, but I haven't. I had some chemical damage done last year, but the trichologist said that this is not due to that and would have happened anyway. He gave me 4 treatments while I was there as I live 4 hours from where he is, and he put me on an at-home daily scalp cleansing regimen with nightly treatments as well. I used his cleansing regimen yesterday for the first time and my hair shed BAD, but it was a tad bit more manageable. I woke this a.m. to VERY thin sides to the poin

I went to a trichologist yesterday because my hair has been getting thinner and thinner each day and hard to d

I have never been to a trichologist but I have seen my regular doctor and I was having the same problem. My doctor told me it was psorasis but I didn't believe her. In addition to thinning hair and losing it I was getting scabs and dryness all throughout my head and it was even visible along my whole hairline down to my forehead. I have lost a lot of my hairline becuase I would pick at it.

I was given T-Gel and used it but it didn't work that much, dried my hair out a lot. I went to my hairstylist and she gave me a scalp treatment that hurt so bad but when I came away the scalp flakes and my hairline looked a lot better. I would recommened that you go to Sallys and buy Paul Mitchell Tea Tree Conditioner. (Any beauty store, the generic will also work). Ask the store people for a comb that has teeth that you can hold on to and just massage your scalp with. It should cost about a dollar. Don't use shampoo anymore and only condition your hair. Do NOT wash or condition your scalp...ONLY your hair. Make sure you only run water through your scalp and massage your scalp in the shower. I think that you should see results. I have! Find a good stylist also.

I went to a trichologist yesterday because my hair has been getting thinner and thinner each day and hard to d

then how come your avatar's hair has sooo much volume?

I went to a trichologist yesterday because my hair has been getting thinner and thinner each day and hard to d

look at your avatar! it might help...

I went to a trichologist yesterday because my hair has been getting thinner and thinner each day and hard to d

Try a wig...I know it sounds stupid, but there are some really pretty ones, at least until your hair is under control....and remember, you are beautiful...and getting a good wig will help you feel that way!! Good Luck

I went to a trichologist yesterday because my hair has been getting thinner and thinner each day and hard to d

I know it might seem really bad right now, but think of it in the a brighter light. Once it's under control, you can have your beautiful, thick hair back. Sometimes you gotta' go through a bit of pain to get to somewhere great.

I'd stick to it. :)

In the end, it'll all be worth it. In the meantime, you could invest in a wig. Yeah, it sounds old fashioned, but there are some really natural looking one's out there that'll look great.

Don't worry. No amount of hair chemicals is going to turn you into anything else. You are a woman, and you're a human. You'll come out fine. Just try to look into the future, and not to be so glum. Maybe organise a get together with friends, or a picnic or something, to brighten your mood? They'll be there to support you too ^_^

Good luck! I hope all goes well for you.

I went to a trichologist yesterday because my hair has been getting thinner and thinner each day and hard to d

have you been on any medication about the time this occured? I would see you GP and ask for a referral. Don't be frightened to massage you scalp whilst in shower as this will stimulate circulation wihih in turn brings more oxgenated blood to the area. Use a mild shampoo. Try contacting Lucinda Ellery at her clinic/salon in london for advice, she specialises in allopecia and is very sympathetic.http://www.lucindaellery.com/

My hair is GREEN!?

My natural hair colour is a dark blonde, but i got half a head of foils (from a hair salon) about 2 months ago so my hair (apart from regrowth) is a light honey blonde now. I have never died my hair permanently from a packet, only wash outs. But at the end of last year I put this spray called 'Sun-In' through my hair, which is meant to lighten your hair naturally.

So anyways, recently my hair has turned green! Most people at school notice it, and it has become HIGHLY embarassing. I am going to a hair salon tomorrow night, but does anyone know any quick treatment I could do tonight to get rid of some of the green? Also, has anyone else used 'Sun-in', and is this the cause of it?

I've already put toner through. It did nothing.

Thank you!

My hair is GREEN!?

Oooh honey stay away from those "sun in" products they are horrid for your hair! Have your stylist do a service on you where it strips off the bad additives on your hair, then when she proceeds with a new color it should be fine. If its green now.... make SURE she does NOT use an ash or neutral color... make sure there's a lil gold in there. :)

My hair is GREEN!?

Mine did the same thing! the only way to cover up the green is to dye all over color with red tints! I know it sounds scarry but it isnt that bad. I went with a auburn and put blond highlights through-out! Don't worry it will be fine! Good luck!

My hair is GREEN!?

yeah i know go to the hair salon and dye your hair the color you want and don't buy "Sun-in" my friend also used "Sun-in" and has green hair she went to the hair salon and her hair was normal color when she came out don't use "Sun-in" AGAIN

My hair is GREEN!?

my hair is the same tone as you and when i was younger i used sun-in and it didn't really do anything for me! no blonde...and no green either!!

u kno wats wierd...1 time i went to school and realized that parts of my hair were pink...it was wierd...but it went away after like 2 days...and it wasnt that noticeable..but im sure that wasnt cuz of sun-in..just felt like sharing that story

Ok....for temporary fix put ur hair in a messy bun and wear a thick headband too. that way it will be a lot less noticeable.

My hair is GREEN!?

Oh my gosh. Yes I bought a few of those. It workd great for a bit but the reaction from chlorine, water, sun, just makes your hair look gross. My brother redyed it to a darker blonde to get his back. Unfortunately me...I had to buy red colorpulse dye and neve came out ever, so I went to the hair salon and hey gotit back, then I had to go back again to make it match my natural hair color. Difficult I know..myfriend uses it to and it works just great on her but later on it gets a yellow fake unnatural color. Stay away from those. Try using the dark purple shampoo it makes blonde hair lighter and more natural looking. I hate when I get a bad hair dye and go to school with it. Its hard.

My hair is GREEN!?

Have you seen the old movie "The Boy with Green Hair"? Tell people that you are trying to call attention so people will be more aware of environmental problems.

Then go to a salon and get rid of the old and try again.

My hair is GREEN!?

I don't see how anyone can help you until you say why your hair is green. A stylist shouldn't put anything on your hair either until you can figure out why it's green.Have you gone swimming in a pool? If so,the chlorine may have turned it green. If this is a case ,all you need to do is get that special shampoo that takes chlorine out of your hair.Did you put hair color in your hair that had ash or green in the base,if this is the case then you will need to put a toner on your hair that has red in the base. Whatever you do,don't use Sun-In again because it's some really crappy stuff and it ruins the hair. DO NOT use hair color stripper on your hair either. Clarifying shampoo may take out some of the green or vinegar may even help. My hair turned green once from chlorine and the vinegar took out most of the green.

My hair is GREEN!?

blondes should NEVER use shop products. it could easily stuff the colour of your hair. green hair usually comes from the clorine in the pool from swimming... other then that it would be from dying it at home, or from going dark blonde to light blonde or visa versa, u have to do it gradually using step by step colour process... the green will fade in time, u will probably have to wait till u go to the hair salon to fix it.. good luck xxxx

How do I get my hair back to how it used to be!?

I am mixed with black and alot of other things..and i have (or had) really pretty curly hair..I havent had to many treatments done to it, but i did let someone talk me into getting a perm to make it more managable (yea right) a while back and shortly after i dyed it! At first the texture felt fine but gradually I started to notice that my hair didnt feel the same..It feels dry and scraggly (i dont think thats a word but thats how i describe it). It seems like the color is what really made it feel like this and now it doesnt grow as much and as fast as it use to.

So I was just wondering what i can do to get it back to how it was (w/o cutting it) or a great product that works to restore its natural texture and to let it grow faster and stronger once again.

Thanks a bunch!

How do I get my hair back to how it used to be!?

If you have black hair, you have to listen to people that know how to take care of black hair. It isn't the same as other hair. Your hair sounds like it was dried out or damaged. Try nexus keraphix or humectress. Deep condition your hair every time you wash. Hot oil treatments will help. No more chemical processes on your hair until the end of the summer this yr. Your hair is damaged and it needs time to repair itself. Google black hair tips or find a good black salon in your area and get educated on how to take care of YOUR type of hair.

How do I get my hair back to how it used to be!?

I like Bumble and Bumble Deep. It works really well for me.

How do I get my hair back to how it used to be!?

well there is something call skin, hair, and nails. they are like vitamins that will help your hair grow faster and healthier and you can get that at a walmart or cvs or someplace like that. aside from that, trim it regularly. and buy a really good conditioner specifically made for damaged hair and when you put it in, leave it there for 3 or 4 minutes before you rinse it and do this every time you wash your hair. also, for after you are out of the shower try suave professionals smoothing cream. it works so good and it doesnt grease your hair up at all. and it doesnt cost that much.

Help! my hair has refused to grow?

Help! my hair has refused to grow?

Hair, skin, and nails vitamins or prenatal vitamins. Rub neem oil or rosemary oil into scalp.

Help! my hair has refused to grow?

My hairdresser always told me that if you can't afford anything else, get a professional relaxer and keep your split ends trimmed. Ask you stylist to tell you of a good shampoo and conditioner for your hair. Take prenatal vitamins or hair, skin, and nail vitamins. They seem to be working for me.

Help! my hair has refused to grow?

Aparently [so ive heard] there is no way to grow your hair faster. Everyones hair grows at different rates, and i think just because your hair might be damaged, it needs time to revamp and get back to normal. try to go to a salon and ask if they have any referrals or products they recommend using. Also drink lots of water and wash your hair with cold water, because hot water damages it more.

I do everything for my hair so it can grow?

I do everything for my hair so it can grow?

what type of hair do u have?

I do everything for my hair so it can grow?

its not always what you put on your hair, its what you put in your body, look up vitamins and see what you can take for your hair. if your super low on all kinds of viatmins you can get prenatal pills and that will definatly help your hair and nails. check w/your doc. i think you may be able to buy them over the counter though.

I do everything for my hair so it can grow?

You could try not washing your hair everyday. My hair was the same way, I would shampoo and condition everyday and blow dry out. But now I only shampoo twice a week but condition everyday and only put the conditioner on the ends of my hair since the hairs on the top of your hair create their own oil, you don't want to put more conditioner up there and make it too much. Also, try using a spray before you start blowdrying or putting any kind of heat on your hair. Some kind of heat resistant and try not to use so many products in your hair! That dries hair out real bad! Put a little bit of smoothing serum on the ends of your hair and your hair will look 10x better! Trust me, I have been there and done that and now my hair looks alot better and healthier since I made some changes.

I do everything for my hair so it can grow?

I don't wash my hair every day. It used to be two or three times a week, but with the recent move came a slightly different lifestyle, so it's more every other day.

However, I eat a full diet of whole, real foods, I don't blow dry my hair and I never put any additives on it, such as gel, hairspray etc. My last hair cut was at least three months ago and the person kept commenting on how healthy my hair was. I should have told her my methods (none of which include the fancy, expensive stuff that the salons sell). I still don't have any split ends. However, I'm ready for a hair cut, but I think it's just because the shorter hair will be much more convienent when the baby comes. I used to just get a cut once a year. I keep my hair straight and one length. It's easy to care for and I don't have to worry about keeping up my style.

Supposedly, pregnancy improves one's hair, but I've not seen much of a difference.

I do everything for my hair so it can grow?

sure ur hair wont grow

ur hair grow each month 0.5 inch

so u trim it regulary how do u want it to grow?

Hair growth, no im not bald take your ads elsewhere?

Ok. So i was in my local highschool play

and I had to get the hair cut...

it was about

5 1/2 inches long, now it barely reaches 3

In some areas it barely even reaches a inch.

GOD why did I do this...

ok. So i took this hair growth suppliment

"Hair Skin and Nails"

Any more methods they're are to make my hair grow quicker?

It usually grows at, I guess a decent rate up until it hits that 5 inch mark, then it stops. If that makes any scence.

I've looked it up, and I've seen ALOT of ideas

like.

1. Massaging the scalp for 2-3 minutes a day

(In which case I could massage it for 10-15)

2. Drinking more water?

3. Certain shampoos?

4. Soaking it in salt? (Yeah im sure that was false)

5. Hot oil treatments

The list just goes on and on and on...

I'm just trying to sort out the crap.

What REALLY works...

I know already I'm looking at a good...

2 months?

Before I have a little length back in my hair.

But there has to be a way to quicken the process

if only a little bit.

Any help?

Hair growth, no im not bald take your ads elsewhere?

Relax and let nature take its course. Your hair will grow back at its own rate no matter what you do.

On the funny side, you are going to laugh about this when you get older, for sure.

Hair growth, no im not bald take your ads elsewhere?

No.....Stop what your doing. Check the farmer's almanac online for the best days to cut hair to promote growth. This month is on the 13, 14, 15, 18, 19 and 22. Get a 1/4 inch taken off on one of those days. Only trim it every other month on a day indicated by the almanac. Switch your shampoo and conditioner to Main and Tail. You can get it at Walgreens. If conditions the scalp to create healthy hair. Thick and full. Any haircuts, do only on the best days according to the almanac.

I rely on these and am very proud of my thick, full, and very long hair. I'm 41 and it reaches below my waist. When other women my age are switching to the short cuts because their hair is thinning with their age, mine continues to be full and vibrant.

How do I go about getting my hair straightened?

Ok so I have always had thick curly frizzy hair and I had been getting it buzzed short cuz I hated how it looked but I would really love to have long straight hair. I've been growing it out for several months now and its pretty much like a big fluffy frizzball. It's not really kinky curly its more of a messy curly and if u wash it and comb it and put gel or whatever it usually stays down for a while but it looks stupid and has places that start sticking up and curling when it dries. I'm really sick of it lol. What do I have to do to have fairly long straight hair? Heres kinda how I want my hair

http://www.spin.com/features/magazine/im... What can I put in it (shampoo, straighteners etc) and how should I comb it and do I need to get it trimmed or anything to even it as it grows? I cant afford any expensive treatments though so keep it cheap on the suggestions. Oh yeah and since hair texture varies with people if it helps I'm a 17 year old white dude yup!

How do I go about getting my hair straightened?

that pic is fekin freaky man

How do I go about getting my hair straightened?

you will need to get a flat iron to straighten your hair, and you will have to do it everytime you wash it...just a hint...get a really good one...it will cost you a lot of money, but with your hair, you will need one that has a temperature setting on it....the one i purchased for my daughter who has hair similar to yours cost $120.00, but was worth it...i have purchased one cheaper one, but it did not work with her hair.

How do I go about getting my hair straightened?

I use a straightener for mine, and sometimes add Dep Straight Cream Gel to the ends, which helps to keep frizz down.

After washing my hair, I never let it air dry-unless I'll be straightening it before going in public. I usually braid it, and take them out in the morning so I just have waves. My hair is really long and naturally frizzy-wavy. Pretty much crap. D=

Just put some of that Dep stuff on the ends of your hair [it says when it's damp, but then you'd have to blow dry it; just do it when it's dry], and then use a straightener.

How do I go about getting my hair straightened?

try blow drying it with a roll brush going through your hair at the same time in small sections of hair, and then flat iron it.

How do I go about getting my hair straightened?

you could get it relaxed and straighten it a bit which is usually about $75 depending on your hair length.

I would suggest getting it thinned and flat ironing it

How do I go about getting my hair straightened?

ok 17 year old white dude........here's my thought. I'm trying to get a picture of what your hair looks like. I saw the picture of Mason and see what your trying to go for.

Now you might get some that say your going to have to break the bank for one of these things..........but you don't. What am I talking about. A flat iron.........a inexpensive one too. Some of these things you can spend way tooo much money for and they all eventually will dry your hair....for God's sake your putting all this heat on it how ever often, like your not ever going to see or have damage. Ya, right.

Anyway go to Walmart buy a ConAir 1 inch ceramic flat iron, Revlon sells them too. But I've had this cheapy ConAir slim flat iron for over a year and it cost less than $20.00. It still works fine.

Anyway they say you should you use product in your hair just for flat ironing in order not to dry your hair out. Well some people do some people don't. You don't want to "fry" your hair so if your going to do this read all the directions and don't start out at the highest temperture, start at the middle or a little past the middle point on the temperture control. Now take about a couple of inches of hair in your one hand and run the flat iron down that section once, see how that looks, you might have to do it again. See how long that takes to make it look straight. You might just do your whole head then go back and do it again. If it's not straightening very well then you might have to turn the temperature up some. You kinda just have to play around and see how it goes.

Also having naturally curly hair myself I've noticed something about flat ironing and "the weather". In the summer when its humid within an hour or so after flat ironing my hair and going outside....my hair will start to grow and get frizzy. And it doesn't matter if I have product in my hair to help this or not, I get the same results everytime. If it's hot out and you sweat or if you get caught in the rain.......forget it.....you'll start to frizz.

The one and only months that are good for those who have frizzy or natural curly hair is when it gets cooler out yup, the winter. I can flat iron my hair once and it will stay straight for 3 or 4 days in cooler weather.

Anyway..........good luck.

How to fix dry damaged hair?

I realize this question is asked a lot but my hair is different from others I believe. First of all I haven't dyed my hair in over 3 years. I deep condition my hair once a week. I don't straighten my hair (it's naturally losely curled). I never blow dry my hair. I never brush my hair when wet and I always let it air dry. I take extremely good care of my hair but it still is very dry. Are there any suggestions? Is there any at home treatments I could try? Please let me know. Thank you. =)

How to fix dry damaged hair?

I know what you mean by your hair being different from others, Mine is too. Let me tell you what I do. First of all it is a possibility that you are washing your hair too often. If your hair doesn't get greasy after a day or so of washing, then don't wash it every day. I don't wash mine every day but when I do I use Tresemme's products for shampoo and conditioner and a leave in mosturizer. I know you said that you do a deep condition once a week and that is good but here's what I do. I get a cholesterol conditioner ( yes its very good for your hair) from Sally's Beauty Supply and I put gobs of it on my hair before I go to be,(my hair is kinda thick) , and leave it on with a shower cap over it all night. I have found that works as an excellent mosturizer. Hope it helps!

How to fix dry damaged hair?

well.... you could always go the "full Brittney"!!

How to fix dry damaged hair?

try mayonnaise. it sounds disgusting, but my friend tried it out once, nd it worked. also, try not to wash your hair so much, youre washing all the natural oils in your hair away. Maybe you can take vitamin E and protein supplement pills. I heard that type of stuff is good for your hair and nails.

How to fix dry damaged hair?

What kind of shampoo and conditioner do you use? I have curly/wavy hair too and I have never dyed it either. Changing your conditioner can make all the difference. I try to stick to the creamy ones, and Pantene is usually good at getting hair tangle-free and very smooth. I also would recommend Biolage or Nexxus Humectress/Therappe, they are normally very universally pleasing, and although you might think your hair is different, I'm sure some have had the same troubles you seem to be facing. Keep searching, you'll find the right products for your hair. Good Luck!

Maybe you should try the tips in the source with your deep conditioner.

Which method of hair removal reduces skin irritation and is a good long term fix?

What method of hair removal do you reccommend (besides shaving)? I'd be willing to save money for an expensive procedure. I just want to find a good way to remove hair before my wedding in a year.

I have excessive, dark hair on my stomach (I was told that it is a hormonal problem known as "hirsutism"). I read that a doctor can help me prevent more hair growth, but the existing hair will remain unless I use a hair removal method.

I would either like to use laser treatment or Electrolysis for my stomach. But I read that Electrolysis might leave scars. How severe are the scars?

For my legs, I could settle for a short term fix, like waxing. Does waxing irritate the skin?

I'd go with laser treatment, but I read that it can take 4-10 sessions to get rid of hair completely. Does that mean that I would have to deal with somewhat hairy legs for months?

My concern with Electrolysis is scars.

I'd appreciate any advice or information, thanks.

Which method of hair removal reduces skin irritation and is a good long term fix?

Since there's an excessive amount of hair in that area maybe laser would be a better choice. I've been getting laser hair removal on my face and now on my 5th treatment. My skin is darker toned so they had to use a special laser. It was a little painful for me the first time and right after the procedure there was some redness but it goes away. About maybe five days post (every) treatment the hair began to grow back but then fell out on its own after a week or so! If you can't deal with the regrowth for a week it's okay to shave it or even better use an electronic trimmer so that you don't get razor bumps, I've seen small ones that are better to use on the body. Any other ways of removing hair (during the laser treatments) can disturb the hair follicles and probably irritate the skin even more because I noticed the area treated becomes more sensitive.

After the first treatment, and falling out of regrown hair, the hair did grow back again but slower than usual. When I got to the next sessions I noticed the hair didn't grow back for weeks (well after the regrowth fell out first) or until it was time for another session. After some time the hair grows back lighter and finer. It's takes patience but I love it because it lasts and I don't have to worry about removing the hair every three days.

I think electrolysis is good to use for very small areas. With electrolysis a tiny needle is darted into each hair follicle and that can be very painful, more so than laser. I also think that this way of removing hair can be very irritating to the skin being that an instrument is sticking the area repeatedly. So yeah scars are more likely to appear with this procedure.

Waxing can irritate the skin but can be prevented sometimes. Maybe you can use a natural wax that's gentler on the skin. I don't wax my legs but I do wax my eyebrows. To reduce irritation after I wax my eyebrows I wait about 5 min then rinse with cold water, pat dry, then apply aloe vera gel which helps heal skin and get rid of redness. The redness goes away in minutes and the area is no longer irritated. Maybe that can work after waxing the legs too! I use the clear aloe vera gel instead of the green one because of the funny smell it has. The green aloe vera gel smells because it has a numbing ingredient (lidocaine I think) which is probably better to use if there's itching or burning sensation after waxing.

Whatever you do, I suggest you rule out the electrolysis because of the high risk of damaging your skin. I'm sorry about my long answer lol!

Good luck with your decision and congradulations wife to be!

Which method of hair removal reduces skin irritation and is a good long term fix?

I would try waxing, it shouldn't irritate the skin or anything of that sort. After a week or two bumps might appear, but that is about it! :)

As for an actual "fix", Look into laser treatment and see if there are any alternatives available.

Which method of hair removal reduces skin irritation and is a good long term fix?

Plucking (tweezing), Shaving, Depilatory creams and Waxing are temporary hair removal methods. Waxing usually lasts for 3 weeks, but it is painful. Electrolysis and laser hair removal are "permanent" hair removal methods but are expensive and you have to find a trained professional, otherwise your skin could be damaged. A review of the various hair removal methods is available at http://3rc.info/
