Go to the 'ethnic' hair care section at Walmart. Those folks do some seriously weird shitt to their hair, and therefore need serious repair products.

I've used some of that stuff. It's pretty good.

use the Garnier Nutrisse leave in conditioner. It's helped my dry damaged slit end hair soo much.

one of my best friends is a hairstylist, and i'm very into beauty treatments, so between our knowledge, there are a few things i can suggest. i use Giovanni hair products and absolutely love them! their organic, light, and get their job done without a lot of smells. nutrafix hair reconstructor works great, and you can follow it up with their vitapro fusion leave-in conditioner. these are intense treatments, so you should only be doing the them once or twice a week, but the nutrafix also works great as a follow up to regular shampooing. i would also suggest buying the shampoos and conditioners. I use 50:50 shampoo and nutrafix conditioner. make sure to let the conditioner set in your hair for at least three minutes before washing out, this is a mistake many people make. just leave it in while you wash your face and body, it should be enough time. you should also only be washing your hair every other day at the most. washing your hair too much can dry it out, making it vulnerable to breakage, and color fades faster. for a more intense treatment, put in a generous amount of the nutrafix conditioner into damp hair, cover your head in plastic (like a shower cap) apply heat (blow dryer) for 10 minutes, then wash out. if you don't want to apply heat, you can sleep with the conditioner in. since you are trying to repair your hair, i would say, do the intense treatment every day for three days, and see how your hair feels. don't shampoo every day! every other day should work. after a few days, of treatments, you should go and get your hair trimmed to get the dead ends off, and then keep up with the treatments afterwards. don't buy the grocery store shampoo and conditioners. many of them contain harsh chemicals that preserve the products so they can sit on the shelf longer. some even include petroleum! many of the smells are meant to cover up the smell of the chemicals in the products. go with natural, organic hair products. they cost about the same (my giovanni products cost $7 per bottle) and they are sooooo much better for your hair. Giovanni also has website: www.giovannicosmetics.com. good luck!
