i go to an aveda salon down the street from my house. every time i get my hair trimmed, i also get a deep conditioning treatment. i'm due for my trim %26amp; conditioning, but i also want to have a 'color gloss' (cellophane treatment) done. if i get them the same day, will they interact %26amp; cancel each other out? should i wait to have one of them done later? which one should i have done first to maximize both of their effectiveness? thanks :))

It's fine to do them on the same day, actually better for the color gloss, the conditioning treatment will make it last longer. As far as which one first, the stylist will know. Some treatments will have a lot of protein, which evens out your porosity, making the color gloss more even. Some conditioners are more for softening than strengthening, these are better for use after the color service. Some even have ingredients made for sealing in color. Your stylist will know which treatment your hair needs.
But yes, definitely book them for the same day.
