The ends of my hair are split and breaking. (Really bad!) I've used a treatment called Bone Marrow, but that doesn't seem to help either.

Several suggestions: Good to your local stylist (or local beauty school as they offer discount services) and get a deep conditioning treatment done. The treatment will add moisture and help seal the hair to prevent further damage. Then I suggest using Redken Butter Treatment daily along with Redken Smooth Style (Shampoo and Conditioner) as these will add the moisture needed to rejuvenate your hair.

If your on a budget Loreal Color Vive for color treated hair works well as a moisture restorer. If you get that make sure you get the moisture mask too as anything will help. Hot oil treatments will work well to seal in moisture.

If the ends are splitting, really the only way to fix it is to get a trim, maybe just an inch or so. As for conditioner, I use Finesse. I know someone above suggested Pantene, but one time two months ago I did try Pantene conditioner and my hair was SO dry and SO tangled when I got out of the shower that a lot of it snapped off when I combed it. Finesse (the color-treated hair type is extra moisturizing) untangles your hair so you hardly have to comb it at all. A few years back I used to bleach my hair and dye it green, and Finesse kept it strong and relatively healthy through all that, so I'm sure it can help you with regular use.

I have the same problem right now. I went to a hair salon to deep condition my hair and he said that it was the dryest hair he has seen in ten years. He recomened I use Alterna caviar anti age shampoo and conditioner. It is a little pricey, but my hair is doing better.

You can do a conditioning treatment using olive oil. Heat just a little bit, massage into hair and let it sit. You can wrap your hair with plastic wrap for about 15 minutes and then wash out. You can also do the same thing with a product called cholesterol found in most pharmacies. You would do the same process using it as the olive oil.
