Hair ideas!?

I have very thin hair, and if i wear it down, it goes flat. I wear it up EVERY day and i only have 30 min. to do my hair. I need help. Is there any treatments that work that could make my hair thicker or anything?

I too have very thin hair - and unfortunately there isn't much you can do to combat this. Luckily, hair can change character a bit over time - mine has grown much thicker over the past few years - so patience may be all that is needed (tough, I know!) - other than that - the best tricks I found were not to try to change my hair, but just how it lay or looked.

With thin hair, the longer it is - the thinner it looks, so you can still have "long" hair - but you may want to keep it just past the shoulders as opposed to letting it reach the small of your back.

For making it look fuller my hairdressers like to give me light face framing - I emphasize *light* because a. I don't like to work hard on my har and b. tons of face framing always made my hair look thinner rather than fuller. With light framing my hair looked like it had more body.

Avoid products if you can - these will only weigh it down. I never use gel or hairspray because my hair is thin and straight - so not only were the products doing nothing in the way of holding it in place - but they just made my hair greasy and droopy within minutes. The only time I used hairspray was when I used hot rollers - which is something I would suggest if you want to add body and have the patience to learn to use them, For this I would dry my hair until it was only a tiny bit damp - then I would roll my hair into the hot rollers lightly hairspraying each peice prior to rolling it.

If the hair was too damp, the rollers would work - same goes if I used too much hairspray. But once I learned to keep it only the tiniest bit damp, and use only a light spray of hairspray - I found that the rollers sort of dried the hair into that positon, which kept it slightly curly for a much longer period of time.

In the end, I still have thin hair - which is tough to curl or keep looking fuller - but over time, the texture has changed to be ever so slightly thicker - and I keep the slight face framing which somehow manages to trick the eye into thinking there is more hair there!

Sorry that was so long, I hope you get some good tips - maybe somebody will have some that I can use too! I just wanted to share what worked for me, because I know how annoying it can be to try so hard only to end up with limp flat hair in the end!

p.s. if you practice with the rollers, you can definitely do them in under 30 minutes :)

sunsilk or dove shampoo+conditioner (use a little more conditioner than shampoo but not too much)

cut it and it will grow thicker. and eat a lot of almonds those will help too. and use some shampp things or something like that and if u straighten it then stop. it just burns and makes ur hair thinner. u can use it one in a while though. some starighteners dont burn hair but i dont know if u use one!

you can try, coming your hair, putting in some weightless volumizing cream and then blow dry your hair, so that it get tangled...then just comb the top with your hair

Heres the answer to your question.

THIN HAIR

Thin hair can easily be disguised by a really good cut. The natural look is back in fashion so go for a style that suits your hair type as well as your face shape rather than trying to get your hair to do something which doesn't come naturally.

Choose a style that is not too long and shaped into the nape of the neck. There are a variety of products that can also help. Thickening shampoos work well and also make the hair more controllable. A semi-permanent vegetable wash-in colour can also give a feeling of thickness. Careful drying with a blow dry lotion can also help control flyaway static hair.
