Healthy diet w/ lots of fruits and veggies, but now and then also try conditioning your hair with ( I know, grossssssssssss!) mayonaise and also a beer as well. Sometimes the hair has to soak the good stuff in from the outside as well. A hot oil treatment isn't a bad idea , occasionally , as well.

causes of dryhair and split ends:

shampooing freuently and swimming in clorinated pools

hair dryers,electric curlers and permanents.

to avoid split ends try following the tips and keep ur hair shiny

and glossy!

mayonnaise---- use a dollop of mayonnaise on the palm of the hand and massage it to the head and leave it on for 5 minutes before having the bath. the recimmeneded time for this treatment is one hour...be patient

spray the beer----if you do not get respite from mayonnaise use beer as a good setting this will give ur hair shiny,healthy look. spray on the hair after shampooing and towel dry. then u can style and or blow-dry the hair

shampoo minimall----daily shampooing is not advisable. shampoo strips it natural oils. choose shampoo for dry and damaged hair

conditioner you hair--- dry hair and split ends can benefited greatly by the use of conditioner after shampooing .conditioners glues back the cuticled to the hair shaft and lubricates them.

avoid heat--------heat appliances like hair dryers, electric hair curlers,etc. replaced electri curlers with unheated plastic curlers. or use sponge rollers overnignht to give you a wavy appearance.

cover your head----wear hat or scarves during windy days and during hot summer days.

cut off split ends-----every 6 weeks or so cutting off split ends to help them under control
