Relaxers and Hot Oil Treatment?

I have my hair relax every 3 months and get my hair done my a stylist every month or two.

I usually just have my hair straighten during those day of having my hair done i dont put anything in my hair other than hairspray very other day cause i dont like for my hair to be oily and weighed down.

I read that using hot oil treatment after getting a relaxer is good for your hair. And im thinking of using it know on to keep my roots down.

Any advice for everyday use, thank you.

Relaxers and Hot Oil Treatment?

Currently i have long hair and have been learning alot so...

i do not have a relaxer i stopped getting them 5 years ago ( and i've only have 3 relaxers in my life time so this is all natural) so i can show you how to take care of hair with or without a relaxer. The key to relaxed hair is moisturizing it, and if you use oil on your hair, it will not be weighed down.

1. The shampoo, unfortunately many black women are using shampoos with alcohol , petroleum jelly, ammoniun lauryl sulfate, and sodium ammonim lauryl sulfate. step away from them. Use Aveda's shampoo.. specifically the name is Brilliant...go to the website. I use it, i love it, it mouisterizes my hair and the products are natural. i have also heard that KeraCare is great for relaxed hair..

2. Okay, step two condition it and then it is time to comb it out, Do not use a brush on you hair when it is wet,,it will hate you for it then break off in revenge. Put your your sections use a big tooth comb, to untangle it

3. Do a hot oil treatment atleast once a month with extra virgin olive oil...repeat..EXTRA VIRGIN olive oil..not the regular stuff. unfortunately i have yet to take this step however my hair is doing great.

4. Okay on the daily basis you need to pay close attention to your hair...i recommend conditioning your scalp(3-4 times a week) and your ends(everyday) so that they will not get dry and unhealthy Petroleum jellly and mineral oil are weapons of mass destruction ( in other words do not use grease) it does so much harm to your hair it cannot be all explained here. So you ask what do I use...well natural oils grapeseed oil ( use it for hair it deflects heat so it is good for flat iron users like us)

jojoba oil(i use this for my scalp), extra virgin olive oil, sesame oil, emu oil, coconut oil...all these natural oils and more love you..i promise.

I also use Aveda's Brilliant ( the name of the brand) emollient for my ends.

5. Next,,if you want your hair straight but still be natural it is time to get a freakin good flat iron.,i have the Chi..it does the job but I recommend getting the Sedu because of the good reviews. make sure to protect your hair..i have so thermal protector from Aveda. When flat ironing your hair do not let the iron stay on your hair for too long, just 1-2 quick swipesI do not recommend flat iron for relaxed hair.

6. If you have a relaxer ( i have heard that Mizani and Affirm are the best relaxers) don't continue to relaxer all your hair everytime you go to the salon..just the new growth and try to stretch relaxers as long as possible. Rollers sets under a hood and set at the lowest temperature possible is recommended.

7. You do not need to trim your hair everytime you go to the salon maybe every 3 to 6 months.

8. Wrap your hair in a satin or silk scarf to prevent damage before you go to bed.

9. Eat healthy, drink lots of water,

10 take multivitamins, and fish oil pills you can get from GNC.

Follow these steps and life will be good..the best part about flat iron (which i do once a week or every two weeks not everday since it will kill your hair) is that it is not stringy but thick and healthy, yet straight and light enough to blow in the wind.

Relaxers and Hot Oil Treatment?

hot oil is good but right after a relaxer burns because its so hot and your scalp is already kinda tender

My hair is poofy when I get out of the shower and my hair dries how do I stop this? PS. I USE PANTEN

I use pantene or sunsilk or bed head everything that is realy good (and usualy expensive) how do i get my hair to stop being poofy when it dries?? PS i like my hair to be straight or sometimes kinda wavy!! i dont like having it realy curly unless im going somewere fancy LOL, i love wearing my hair down but i usualy end up wearing it up because of this problem,,.......... it looks good after a day and sometimes a night but then i have to wash it and i am not missing out on my washing thats discusting so dont even say that LOL!!!!!!.... anyway i need help and i dont want to buy something that is realy expensive i have to do it with my only money!!...... oh ya and please dont mension any junky hairsprays or gell's there bad for your hair....., and YES ive allready done the hot oil treatment and leaving conditioner on my head so please sont say that either LOL that sounds like alot but i realy need the help!!.... its also kinda thick but not realy scince i got it layered ..XOX~THANKYOU~XOX

My hair is poofy when I get out of the shower and my hair dries how do I stop this? PS. I USE PANTENE,SUNSILK!

Why not wear it naturally? There are gels that are healthy for your hair- LA Looks, La Bella, Herbal Essences, and ocasional other products from other drugstore brands. Some are not, such as those that contain heavy silicones that make the hair appear shinier by slicking it down and suffocate the hair eventually. I have yet to encounter a healthy hairspray however.

*Read the book and visit the sites below about curly hair. I did and my once horrible curly hair is now well defined and healthy. Now I get compliments on my hair all the time! Straighten your hair- be happy for a day, learn to manage your curly hair- be happy for life! But if this is completely uninteresting to you, disregard.

*To style your hair using the curly-girl method you will need gel, a leave in, and conditioner at the minimum. Some less useful, but still nice stuff would be a blow dryer, a diffuser (reduces frizz in curly/wavy hair when used with dryer), and a micro fiber hair turban/old t-shirts (to dry wet hair while sleeping or in the morning).

*The main philosophy of the curly-girl method is to not use shampoo. This may sound unhygienic but it has actually made my hair less oily and dandruffy. Most shampoos contain some of the same chemicals found in laundry detergent (aka sulfates). They dry out curly hair. Also you shouldn't brush your curly hair dry because it damages the hair and makes it poof.

*Massaging of the scalp with conditioner to remove dirt is all that is needed. It will clean everything but super clingy silicones (avoid these- ingredients will end in -xane, -conol, or -cone). Then rinse and spread conditioner on the outside layer of hair and the hair at the nape of your neck. Gently comb tangles out with your fingers or a wide toothed comb and rinse with cold/cool water.

*Do not brush/comb your hair after this point because it will disturb the curl pattern (make sure you already have a part). It is also important to use gel on sopping wet hair and scrunch the hair with your fingers. Make sure gel is evenly distributed everywhere in your hair. If you use too much you can always scrunch out the crunchy texture later.

*Use paper towels or an old t-shirt to gently scrunch some of the water out (generic towels can make hair frizz). You can either let your hair air dry or wait ten minutes and then use a blowdryer with a diffuser. Dry until your hair is almost dry, and then air-dry the last bit. Do not touch the hair while it is air-drying or it will frizz!

*Use a cheap, silicone free conditioner to scrub your scalp such as Suave Naturals or Vo5. Use a moisturizing conditioner, such as Kenra Moisturizing Conditioner (salon) or Nature's Gate\Desert Essences conditioners (health food stores) for your hair. I recommend using a gel (LA Looks, Herbal Essences, La Bella) over a leave in (L閳ユ┉real Out of Bed Instant Texturizer). Experiment with whatever products you wish, but there are more conditioners, gels, etc. on the websites.

*You may be able to get away with some silicones (such as amodimethicone) if you clarify with a sulfate free shampoo. Try Devacurl no-poo (salon) or Cream of Nature (drug store). Feel free to find your own but always check the ingredients for sodium/ammonium lauryl/laureth sulfate.

*Your hair may seem worse at first, but it is just adjusting. This takes 2 to 4 weeks begin working. Before you decide to quit shampoo, do a final cleanse with shampoo and stop the use of any products with silicones in them. This is hard to do if you don't read the book, or at least visit the websites. Naturally curly hair can be beautiful! I hope you consider this- email me if you have any questions!

Sebastian Potion 9 moisturizes your hair and it makes it silky smooth. I highly recommend it. Paul Mitchell Super Skinny Serum is also very good.

I use sunsilk anti-poof and it does NOT work at all!! So I switched to Marc Anthony moisture gloss and it is likeheaven!! you just need like 2 pumps and it makes you hairs so silky. it costs around 8$$ and lasts for around 3-4 months.

My hair is poofy when I get out of the shower and my hair dries how do I stop this? PS. I USE PANTENE,SUNSILK!

Same happens to me. I bought TRESemme Smooth No Frizz Shine Spray for $4.79 at CVS and it works wonderfully. When your hairs damp spray it on (I do layers, more on the bottom) than blowdry and it is perfect.

Bleaching blach hair bleach blonde.?

Okay read this first or you will get a thumbs down.

Okay I have dyed black hair. Which Im going to dye to platinum blonde. I am also cutting 5 inches off my hair so I can get rid of the split ends and damage from previous chemical treatments. I am also going to use biolustre after. And Im using Manic Panic Virgin Snow as my toner. What bleach do you reccomend? Im going to sally's beauty to get supplies so tell me what you think :] aand If I need any other condtioning treatments.

Bleaching blach hair bleach blonde.?

Hey, I hope I can help. I have to tell you, I cannot stand it when people tell me I can't bleach my hair. I've been bleaching and coloring my hair for years and the only disaster I had was a couple years ago when a Sally associate rec. that I use a protein mask.... DO NOT USE (I also used the conditioning treatment after)! First off, I am a vegetarian and I'm pretty sure it was animal proteins because it smelled literally like death, second of all, it makes your hair too brittle and my hair started to break. It broke pretty short but I survived, just threw some purple and blue manic panic in there and I was good to go until it started to grow out. Its super healthy again and I'm ready to bust out the bleach. Just do it in steps and I like the little blue toner that you directly put into the bleach.... You buy em in single doses. Most bleaches are fine from the Rite Aid stuff to the beauty store stuff, I think it's technique...Purology is my favorite conditioner and of course biosilk serum after!

Bleaching blach hair bleach blonde.?

Oh and yeah.

clip in extensions saved my life :]

lol Report It

Bleaching blach hair bleach blonde.?

congrats! im on the same page as you....im kind of reddish right now. im being almost too careful but i love this color too hahah. ^_^ Report It

Bleaching blach hair bleach blonde.?

use the manic panic bleaching kit, it worked for my boyfriend, who has natural black hair, and he used it on his facial hair, which is even more coarse than head hair! they have that at sally's too.

Bleaching blach hair bleach blonde.?

girl ima need you to stop dying your hair because you are realling "killing" it

if u're not happy with your own hair color then just shave it off!

Bleaching blach hair bleach blonde.?

dont use manic panic belach i bought my bleach and poweder from sally's beauty store i have black hair as well i bougt a 40 cream (red) developer!!!!

Bleaching blach hair bleach blonde.?

they have this bleach in a powder i don't remember what its called but it works with out a toner you just need the iquid stuff to go with it my grandmas a butishion

Bleaching blach hair bleach blonde.?

when you go in to sallys buy the best bleach you can afford and get cream peroixd not liqiud to mix with the bleach i would buy 40vols nothing stronger.and the conditioner buy a product called infusium you spray it on a dont rinse it out just its a great leave in conditioner i use it in my salon all the time GOOD LUCK

Bleaching blach hair bleach blonde.?

lord i never trust myself with bleach...ill do all the color i want but when it comes to taking color away it scared me to death

i bet youll be pretty regardless : )

Vo5 hot oil treatment..not hot?

I just used the vo5 hot oil treatment for the first time tonight..it seems to have made my hair softer and less frizzy..I was just wondering though, was it supposed to be hot? It said on the box that you don't have to preheat it, just apply it to the hair..it just felt like putting regular conditioner in..

Was it supposed to not be hot? Or should I heat it maybe?

Vo5 hot oil treatment..not hot?

Well some of the VO5 treatments are now being made where you don't have to heat them. However I've found that the best treatment they have is the ones you have to heat. It's really easy and they work better. You get a cup, like a coffee mug or whatever, put hot water, out of the tap, put in the tube of vo5, let it sit for one minute, take out the tube open it, and put it in your hair. It works better than the ones you don't have to heat. It's not hot on your scalp either. If you still have some of the cold stuff, it'll be ok if you heat it.

Vo5 hot oil treatment..not hot?

im pretty sure youre supposed to put those little plastic tube things with the oil inside in very hot water to warm them up before application.. im surprised the box didnt say anything..

why else would they call it "hot oil treatment" if it wasnt hot?

but im sure you didnt hurt anything..

do it hot (or at least warm) next time..

it feels a lot nicer :)

Vo5 hot oil treatment..not hot?

Yes that's why its called hot oil. But if it was the kind that comes in those little tubs you were supposed to put in a hot a cup of water and let it sit for 3-5 minutes or while you were washing your hair. But its okay that you didn't do it the first time. Just remember to it next time.

What is the best way to get smoother hair.?

I think that eversince I have started straightening my hair it has gotten rougher..or not as smooth and nice as it use to be...what shampoo or treatment would work w/ my hair to make it have volume and be smooth..any suggestions?

What is the best way to get smoother hair.?

use Loreal smooth and sleek, the oily stuff. put it on your hair before you straighten, it keeps it soft. never straighten your hair without putting anything on it because the high temperature will damage the hair.

What is the best way to get smoother hair.?

wrap your hair with set lotion then flat iron it then wrap it agian useing oil sheen

What is the best way to get smoother hair.?

Try the Brazilian line NATURA. Their NaturePlant shampoos are the best. For beauty the French in Europe, the Brazilians in America.

What is the best way to get smoother hair.?

try suave smooth and sleek i like it better than matrix also get some nexxus emergencee it will repair and give strength to your hair. that stuff is the best i have ever tried and i have tried alot of stuff!!

Is there any genuine natural method to straighten my wavy hair? (No irons and chemical treatments pl

Is there any genuine natural method to straighten my wavy hair? (No irons and chemical treatments please.)?

Is there any genuine natural method to straighten my wavy hair? (No irons and chemical treatments please.)?

Color treated hair..HELP with dry scalp, huge flakes???

What shampoo/treatments, or home remedies, can I use, to treat my dry, flaky scalp, that will not strip out the color of my, color treated hair???? I pay a lot of money to get my hair colored every 5 to 6 weeks. I've tried dandruff shampoos, but they strip out my hair color. I have always had dry hair, but I have NOT always had a dry scalp, with huge flakes. It is itchy, but not inflamed or red, just great big patches of my scalp waiting to flake off, (embarrassing), even immediately after washing my hair....in fact, it almost seems worse after I wash my hair. I have tried different shampoos and conditioners, and went to a doctor. He recommended over the counter cortisone cream, applied directly to the scalp a couple of times a week, which did work! BUT!! It stripped out my color, within a couple of weeks and made my hair even more dry and very unappealing. I have asked my hairdresser and many other hairdressers and I can't seem to get an answer. I get lots of answers on what to use for color treated hair, OR what I can use for dry itchy scalp/dandruff, BUT WHEN IT COMES TO AN ANSWER FOR THE COMBINATION, no one has been able to give me an answers. Even the ladies at the beauty supply shops. I am very frustrated. I have resulted to searching this answer on the NET and even, search after search, I still wasn't able to find an answer to this specific question, so I am having to ask it, myself. What can I use that will NOT fade my color treated hair, but treat the problem of dry, itchy, scalp resulting in huge flakes ?"

Color treated hair..HELP with dry scalp, huge flakes???

Your dry scalp may be due to an allergy to the coloring of ur hair. Try using shampoo that comes from natural sources such as those u find in bodyshop which will reduce the contact of more chemical to ur scalp. Use loreal color-vive hair mask to restore the vibrant color bt onli use them at the end of ur hair. Try nt to use it near the root of the hair.

Rinse ur hair well and make sure u dry ur hair before going to bed. Shld be able to help. O/w i wld reccommend to stop coloring ur hair for a period of time 1st.

Color treated hair..HELP with dry scalp, huge flakes???

the flakes mainley come from using bad shampoo or conditioner so if i were you ide wah ur hair with an expensive shampoo then redye ur hair and chower with a shower cap on and spray ur hair with hair scents or something.

Color treated hair..HELP with dry scalp, huge flakes???

Read about apple cider vinegar. Hundreds of sites. Mix with water. 1 cup cider vinegar to 1 cup water. I do not have dandrfuff due to this remedy. I have long beautiful hair and nails. I drink it. 2 tbls. in an 8 oz. glass of water 2 times per day.

Color treated hair..HELP with dry scalp, huge flakes???

Well that steroid ointment can solve many a problem. Flakes are not simple dandruff. I'd suggest a good dermatologist is the answer to your Q. not a hairstylist or us.So do visit a Doc to rule out any problem.

Meanwhile warm some Olive oil and give yourself a good scalp massage. Separate the strands of hair and massage in the oil with a ball of cotton wool. Then take a large towel, hold ends, rinse it out in hot water, ring it out [do take care not to hurt your hands with hot water]and wrap it around like a turban on the head till it cools. Leave it for an hour, then wash it off using a good shampoo.

Repeat it once every week for some time.

Will help.

This does not wash off hair color. I do it. If you see your original color near scalp, it shows hair growth.

It may be anything; allergy to dye or infection. So do see the doc. Wish u luck.

How do you keep your hair looking glamorous?

Ok. I am at Hershey Park this weekend and my hair looks like ****, stringy, knotty, after getting off maybe 2 coasters. I see girls going on multiples rides and their hair still looks wonderful, shiney and smooth. So I think it is time to change my hair care routine!

What do you use - list specific products, please! to keep your hair looking fabulous, through wind and so forth. What steps do you take to styling your hair? Any extras, such as weekly treatments?

*Note: I have naturally blonde, straight, fine hair. So anything geared towards that helps as well. =) (Any suggestions for volume? Haha.)

How do you keep your hair looking glamorous?

My hair is similar to yours, naturally dark blonde, but fine and tangles easily. I used to carry a little back pack purse with me at theme parks and quickly brush out the tangles when I had the chance.

I think our hair tangles more easily because it is finer, but it is soft and pretty so that's a benefit.

If you spend a little more on shampoo and conditioner, this could help. I reccommend Paul Mitchell and currently I use the line "So Sexy" from Victoria's Secret.

I would suggest buying the types for fine/thin hair.

As far as volume, when you blow dry you could turn your head upside down. Another option is lifting the hair at the roots and blowdrying underneath for more volume. Hot rollers work great for creating volume and my husband loves my hair with these!

I would suggest not using gels/mousses too much because these can weigh the hair down. A light serum put in the hair before drying can work well. Other than that I don't use much, maybe a little bit of hairspray.

How do you keep your hair looking glamorous?

ASK FERGIE SHES GLAMOROUS

How do you keep your hair looking glamorous?

Well I use this Sexy Hair oatmeal product you can get at almost any haircare place. You also want to comb your hair though a lot. Like before you go. You can also go to a hair salon and get a deep conditioning treatment. Then when you buy conditioners make sure not to always buy the same one. Mix it up. If not, your hair will get used to that hair conditioner and it will not work.

Hope this helps!

Can someone help? I think i ruined my hair!?

Two days ago i attempted to highlight my reddish brown hair and it turned out PINKish. So i went to my local beauty supply store and got professional bleach, it turned orangeish and blonde. So, yesterday i went to the salon and asked for help. The stylist bleached my hair twice and put on a deep conditioning treatment and ITS STILL a brassy yellow. I work in a professional enviornment so i can't exactly keep it like this. I want to go back brown, does anyone know how i can make this possible? Please!

thanks soo much,

ashlie

Can someone help? I think i ruined my hair!?

Shave it all and wait for it to grow.

Can someone help? I think i ruined my hair!?

Be careful with doing to much more with it...it will end up falling out!

Can someone help? I think i ruined my hair!?

hi i have had similar problems with my hair too and to go back brown is more difficult than you think if you're going to do it at home i tried it and it went a khaki colour the best way is to first buy a deepish red colour put that on first then wait a day and put a brown colour over the red it will come out a nice chestnut colour in the end and if youre afraid just go back to a different salon but be sure totell thenm all the different colours and treatments you had it will help them define what to use on youre hair good luck.

Can someone help? I think i ruined my hair!?

right so sounds like you u need an ash toner applied to ur hair, as the initial bleaching has been done, an ash toner will counteract the orange..go to a salon to get this applied.

also, use a shampoo by Matrix So Silver Shampoo - it deposits ash tones in to the hair and helps get rid of brasseyness and enhances blonde or grey hair.

make sure u keep the conditioning treatments up - reconstructing 1s will help repair the hair (tigi dumb blonde conditioner and aussie 3 min miracle r good..mix em together for extra oomph)

and use leave in conditioner to help detangle the hair

Can someone help? I think i ruined my hair!?

STOP the BLEACH! Too much bleach will ruin your hair. The hairdresser never should have bleached your hair after your failed attempts. Call another salon that specializes in coloring and go back to your natural color.

take good care of your hair and use conditioning treatments till it all grows out. What using too much heat with straighteners and blow dryers. Your hair will be vulnerable for awhile.

Good Luck!

Can someone help? I think i ruined my hair!?

I'm sorry 2 hear that Ur hair is turning random colors. but if u want it back brown y didn't u just dye it back brown in stead of going threw the whole process of bleaching it? since brown is a dark color u should have 2 bleach it. hope u get ur hair back 2 normal

Can someone help? I think i ruined my hair!?

The same thing happenned to me last week.

I bleached it twice and its horrible. Now I want to go back to brown.

What I'm using to save my hair is I'm putting baby oil on my hair and leaving it on for an hour before washing my hair to get moisture back into the hair.

Then I'm using a hair mask before going shampooing so it doesnt tangle.

Then I'm conditioning twice and not blowdrying or straightening until the next morning.

Today I'm going to use a semi-permanent brown color. It's L'oreal creme casting. It has no ammonia so reduces the risk of damaging hair. Also, because you bleached ur hair it is likely to stay in ur hair, as color over blonde is harder to get out.

Can someone help? I think i ruined my hair!?

Cut it as short as you can stand it at an Aveda Salon. Condition it every day with heavy conditioner. If you can afford it get K-Pak by Joico. If can not afford that, get Aussie 3 minute Miracle. When your roots start to grow hopefully you hair will be in better condition, when it is in better shape go to an AVEDA salon and have a deep conditioning color treatment. They can tell you if you are ready to color again. Next time you self color, cut a piece from the back of your hair, wrap a band around the top and do a test color. You may have only the choice to color dark instead of highlights. Best of luck this grow out conditioning period may take some time. Be patient, and if anyone asks tell them the truth, you goofed up coloring your own hair, you will be surprised how many people have done it, you may also get a great referral to good salon or tips for dealing with it. I do not work for Aveda but after many 'bad' cut and or colors I have found Aveda Salons natural products and excellent staff consistently excellent. Another tip never never ever add more 'bleach' to a botched lightening job, if you have to do anything go dark. Aveda does not sell Joico products.

Hair straightening?

hi there.im an asian n my natural hair typ is wavy meanin in between straight and curly.the thing now is tt i used the wella strong straightening cream.it gave me satisfactory results but i overused it.6 times in 2 days.this caused my hair to become frizzy at the ends.the lower parts of the hair are fine jus the end only gives me the prob.i dun wanna cut my ends eitherso wad ways do i have to solve this crisis.also my hair is really really straight when wet.even when a single drop touches my end it becomes pointy.but when it dries my hair ends get frizzy....so wad diy or home treatment can i do to treat it.creams and stuff some variety please

Hair straightening?

you dont need a cream to help it straightened..i have the same problem and it only took a blow dryer ....or buy maxi glide to help straightened it.

Hair straightening?

I say use Moose and then straighten your hair. You can get it at Sally's or other places. You can use it a lot and it will never really hurt your hair. Also you can use it for any style of hair. It is really good and should'nt cost more thatn 8 dollars.

Hair straightening?

try this

but a revlon straightner.

its white about 15$.

then,

take a shower.

wash your hair.

then get out.

DO NOT BLOW DRY.

do NOT PUT IN PRODUCT!

then let it air dry.

then when you think its dry enough straighten it.

then put lotion at your roots.

(not a lot)

maybe BARELY a dime size.

REMBER NO BLOW DRYING!

AND NO PRODUCT BEFORE OR AFTER JUST LOTION!

blow drying causes curly stray hairs at the top of your head and is unhealthy and a waste of time

I have unmangable curly hair and i hate it!?

i have to blowdry and straighten my hair every night before to go to school just to look presentable. i wear my hair curly on weekends around my family because its just grossly curly! i do everything to try to maintain it and i just LOVE how my hair looks striaght but its such a pain to do that every night or every other night. is there some kind of treatment i can get done to make my hair naturally straight and also i find it kind of ironic that every since i had hair it was PIN STRAIGHT and when i turned 12 it got SO CURLY. my mom says it was from hormones but thats kind of wierd. anyways can anyone help me out?

I have unmangable curly hair and i hate it!?

have the same problem because of a thyroid condition. I was blessed with kinky hair but my thyroid problem has caused my hair to become very coarse.

I do a lot of different things to straighten mine but I am always changing trying new things too:

1. Biosilk Silk Therapy (its a frizz reducer)

2. Try to only wash or get your hair wet 2 times a week. If it is starting to get greasy, take a little baby powder and pat it on your scalp and then brush out so you cant see the powder anymore. The powder absorbs the oil in your hair allowing you to go another day or so without washing it.

3. Straighten hair with a ceramic flat iron or curl it with Conair's Instant Heat curling iron. The heat kills the frizz and leaves hair feeling a little smoother.

4. Wash hair before you go to bed. Put it in a ponytail and wrap your ponytail tightly in an ace bandage. The bandage will absorb the moisture overnight and leave your hair smoother and straighter by the morning.

Good luck, its NOT an easy task, but always try new things.

Also, you can get a perm to straighten your hair too but its expensive

I have unmangable curly hair and i hate it!?

Try no shampoo or brush (not unhygienic).Massage scalp w/ conditioner and rinse. Then spread conditioner outside of hair and nape of neck.Gently comb tangles out w/ fingers from under hair and rinse.Or use wide toothed comb.Takes 2 to 4 weeks begin working. http://www.ylcf.org/gotcurl/ Report It

I have unmangable curly hair and i hate it!?

The only suggestion I have is to get a perm. Thats what I do, I didnt like my curly hair either, so I got a perm to fix that problem

I have unmangable curly hair and i hate it!?

me to and you now just think curly hair is better cause it has nore style and flavor

I have unmangable curly hair and i hate it!?

You can use Bed Head Control Freak shampoo and conditioner by Tigi to help straighten out the curl a bit. Try using silk therapy after your shower and a good gel with proteins. Let your hair air dry and see if the curl gets any better. The only other option is a chemical straightener which will damage your hair even though it cuts down styling time in 1/2.

I have unmangable curly hair and i hate it!?

get perm, but u c u show every1 everyday that u got strait hair rite? well surprise them 1 day with ur curly hair do something cute with them like 2 ponytails. n then do it often n sometimes do stair hair ppl will get used to lookin at u the way u r.

I have unmangable curly hair and i hate it!?

I do too. It sucks

I have unmangable curly hair and i hate it!?

go to the salon and have them "relax your hair" it will help a lot. If you do not want to go, then you can buy product s that will help. There are many "relaxing products" out there. So start with the brands you can find at the Discount stores,(like Wal Mart or K mart) then you can find the right one for you. Aussie had some great products, you can even try Paul Mitchell products... Hope this helps....

I have unmangable curly hair and i hate it!?

Stop resisting it and embrace it! Curly hair can be so unique and cool. Let it grow long (if it's not already), and the weight of your hair will probably loosen it a bit. Of course, you can use products to further tame it. Go for that Sarah Jessica Parker wild long loose curls look!

I have unmangable curly hair and i hate it!?

im not really sure honey. the best i can say is go with the flow. do the cute hairstyles that are in this fall. most are curly. pull it back, put it up, make it look somethin like curly dreads with alittle spray. dont get flustered over it. thank God curly is always cute. make the best with wht God gave ya. who knows maybe your crush like girls wit curly hair.

Sauci Lati gave you and awesome answer I think that u should try and avoid the chemical straighting if you can.I know that some salons no longer offer chemical straighting anymore since it damages the hair too much. I also heard some people lost some hair. I have curly hair and I use a little bit of all these right after the shower Silk Therapy that works awesome on the frizz I also use by Redken Ringlet ,Redken outshine anti Frizz and some good gel with protein and the curls look awesome. I hope this helps . As well if u are going to continue to straighten your hair make sure you get a ceramic straightener I have paul brown and it works awesome. I would also recommend to talk to a good stylist.

My friend found this product in the 99 cent store that could straighten your hair forever. I dont what it's called but you can ask.

I have unmangable curly hair and i hate it!?

While some hair fall daily is natural, stress, hairstyle products (to get your hair curly or straight) and lack of nutrition can cause excessive hair fall as listed at http://tinyurl.com/kshvn . By changing your lifestyle and using herbal remedies, you can reduce hair loss. More details available at http://tinyurl.com/py7z4 .

Did you hair start breaking when you got highlights?

Im getting highlights for the first time next week but what to know if anyone experienced hair damage? What are some necessary treatments I should be doing with highlights? Thanks

Did you hair start breaking when you got highlights?

Hi! I have been getting my hair highlighted with bleach blonde highlights for the past 4 years or so. I haven't had any true problems of breakage. My sister is a beautician. The thing is that breakage all depends on the condition of your hair before highlighting and how well you take care of it after. Highlights aren't for everyone. If your hair is brittle and breaks before dying then it's definitely not a good idea to highlight it. If you get relaxers you want to make sure you get your highlights no less than 2 weeks after your relaxer and get your next one 2 weeks after you get your highlights. This prevents your hair from being a chemical disaster! After you get your highlights you want to make sure you use a good shampoo and conditioner and a good leave-in conditioner. I usually use Cream-of-Nature shampoo and conditioner and IC leave-in conditioner... all of which can be found at your local beauty supply store or Sally's Beauty supply. You also want to make sure that you stay away from too much blow drying. High amounts of heat will break your hair if you have the bleach blonde streaks. I usually do a roller wrap or occassionally flat ironing and I do fine. You also want to be sure to keep your ends well trimmed. Too many split ends will lead to overall breakage. Keep your hair hydrated with a light oil moisturizer or oil sheen. If you think your hair is shedding after the color treatment there is this stuff called Afogee (not sure if i spelled that right). It works really well with strengthening your hair. Hope this helped, but if you or your beautician don't think your hair is healthy enough to maintain during this process, maybe you should wait! Good luck!

Did you hair start breaking when you got highlights?

i have highlights nad only the ends will split . that happens to every hair . you can keep the highlights hydrated so have a hydrating shampoo one for highlights , like panteene and your hair will be soft and nice

Did you hair start breaking when you got highlights?

If you've just relaxed your hair highlights is a no-no! Your hair will break off if you dye your hair after relaxing it. However, if you get it professionally done then you might be able to save your hair. If you can't afford to get them professionally done don't do it.

Did you hair start breaking when you got highlights?

it truely depends on what color ur getting because if ur getting blech blonde highlights then it will damage easy if u dont take care of it properly. but if ur getting another color then just make sure u use the right shampoo and conditioner and only COMB ur hair when its wet or it will break

Stripping the dyed black hair and going to blonde?

Hi. (:

Well, my hair has a loooooooooong history of treatments...and it's only been over the past two years...Dx;

I've dyed it red twice, purple once, brown once, and black twice (the most recent)...

My father wasn't too happy that I've been having my hair dyed black...and because other people are complaining to him, I am forced to change it. ):

So I bought Color Zap from Sally's...I used it and left it on for the longest time it said acceptable...

But it made my hair really rough and dry...and only lifted my hair color to dark black brown.

I've heard about Color Oops that it doesn't dry out hair too awfully bad though...

Should I try that one?

Would it be okay to try that after Color Zap, since they're from the same company?

And then, re-color? Or just try to get the hair in good shape until I save enough money to go to a salon and have them make it blonde?

Please help...My hair looks awful... )x;

Stripping the dyed black hair and going to blonde?

get it in good shape and go to a stylist if you want to go blonde

if you try to go blonde yourself it will more than likely come up a dirty orangey blonde not platinum.

Stripping the dyed black hair and going to blonde?

is ur name stephanie cause i know a girl named stephanie who did exactly that

Stripping the dyed black hair and going to blonde?

sorry, I thought you were coming back to kewl folks and leaving that lenape club... dyed blak hair..LOL

Stripping the dyed black hair and going to blonde?

If you go from black to blond it tend to get green...You can go to a salon cause most will be gone

Stripping the dyed black hair and going to blonde?

Damn, you're gonna go bald. Too much crap in your hair will make it fall out....

Stripping the dyed black hair and going to blonde?

use a shampoo cocktail....bleach plus 20 vol peroxide and shampoo..mix together and lather on hair keep an eye on it..it will strip out the black color..then you would need to color it completely with one color..if you wish to be blond i would just add high lights until your hair is healthy enough...dark haired people should NEVER go blond..looks fake and if you were meant to be blond you would have been born that way!

Why people loose hair after coming to US?

Hi, I moved into US very recently. Currently i am in North East Pennsylvania. I don't know from the day one I am loosing at least 50 hairs daily. Is this because of the very cold weather or the water. Within a 3 months i feel like i became bold. Can someone please help me how can i control my hair loss. Is there any medicine or treatments ... I would really appreciate your help. thanks in advance.

Why people loose hair after coming to US?

1) The US has NOTHING!!!!!, to do with your hair loss so stop blaming my country!!!!

2) A healthy person generally loses up to 100 hairs per day weather you realize it or not.

3) Your hair loss could be genetic look at the males in your family are they bald? Your father especially.

4) Go to a Dr.

5) Go to wal-mart and get some rogane.

Why people loose hair after coming to US?

im not sure.. u need to go see a doctor.. it may not have anything to do with you moving here

Why people loose hair after coming to US?

It's the US... What'd you expect? =/

Why people loose hair after coming to US?

I don't think that your hair loss is connected to you moving. Maybe you are just starting to go bald. There are shampoos and other products that re-grow hair. Try rogaine.

Why people loose hair after coming to US?

you really need to talk to your doctor about this

it may be an environmental factor

Why people loose hair after coming to US?

that's just odd! and disturbing! lol

Why people loose hair after coming to US?

botox

Why people loose hair after coming to US?

the climate change probably had an effect. and moving to another country probably put you under some stress, which definitely affects your hair. use thickening shampoos and rogaine. good luck.

Why people loose hair after coming to US?

no ur ok. the average hair loss is like a 150 to 100 hairs a day.

so ur cool

Why people loose hair after coming to US?

HI THERE. THERE ARE LOTS OF FACTORS YOU HAVE TO CONSIDER WHY YOU LOOSE YOUR HAIR. MAYBE THE WATER THAT YOU USE FOR BATHING IS TOO STRONG. MAYBE YOUR SHAMPOO IS TOO STRONG, AND YOU NEED TO DILUTE IT MORE WITH WATER, AND YOU SHOULD USE A CONDITIONER. OR MAYBE YOU ARE TOO STRESSED OUT. ANYWAY, YOU CAN TAKE MULIVITAMINS, AND EAT A WELL BALANCED DIET. YOU CAN YOU THIS PALNT CALLED SABILA OR ALOE VERA, AND MASSAGE IT TO YOUR SCALP.

There are two things that are scientifically proven to make your hair longer.

Sunlight and Omega 3's (can buy vitamins with this or eat a lot of fish!)

Or you can go to Sally Beauty Supply (store or website) and order clip in extensions for around $60-70, I have them and they are AWESOME!

Do you now any plases for permanent hair removal, not expensiv?or facial treatments?

face, upper lip, full legs, under arm ,ful arm ,bikin----- prices?

facial tretmans-----prices?

Do you now any plases for permanent hair removal, not expensiv?or facial treatments?

Aculight is a permanent hair removal treatment. Similar to laser. It's not cheap, but the results are brilliant! It works by killing the hair roots so they can't grow back. It obviously can't do anything to stop your body from producing more hair folicles, but no product can do that. You need to check with your therapist to see if you're suitable for this kind of treatment, as it's not very effective on certain skin/hair types.

Do you now any plases for permanent hair removal, not expensiv?or facial treatments?

well one, go back to school and resit your english gcse ( sorry but your spelling is awful) after that you can have follicle removal treatment which costs a small fortune cos its done by laser, or you could shave everyday like us blokes have to, next to no help whatsoever....... sorry!

Do you now any plases for permanent hair removal, not expensiv?or facial treatments?

go to your local collages that do beauty courses they are always willing to help and are cheap and professional

Straight hair perm question?

Hi I want to straighten my hair, but don't want to spend $300-400 on a Japanese/Yuko/TR treatment. Can I just get a straight perm? How much wil that cost me, ohw are the results, how long do they last, and what are the side effects. FYI - I have shoudler length hair, very fine and very thin, ie not a lot of hair. Thanks, any answers will be appreciated. PS, I live in LA - GLendale Pasadena area.

Straight hair perm question?

i have been a hair dresser for 15 years and i would sugest no don't get a straight perm . it will not last long and not make your hair staright enough the way you want it to be simple try this et a flat iron with ceramic blades ( works the best) and a product called beyond the zone comes in an orange bottle :turn up the heat" smells like cotton candy spray it on than flat iron your hair it will be less damaging and will give you the look you desire and will last untill your next shampoo after a while of this it will be straight. because you have retrained it.

How soon after using with lindane shampoo can I use conditioner? It has left my daughters hair dry &

The lindane treatment has been the last resort after months of every treatment you can think of!! Now her hair is so matted and course that I cannot even get a comb or brush through it. I don't want to risk neutralizing the residual effects of the lindane shampoo though. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Lindane will do it's job immediately, you can safely use conditioner after rinsing out the lindane.

What are the best hair wigs to buy?

What are the best hair wigs to buy?

Depends on what you want to spend! Natural Hair wigs are more realistic and subtle looking! Synthetic is nice as well and a little less expensive! Natural Hair wigs run in the hundred dollar + range! Go to a salon/wig shop speak to a stylist or wig specialist and they will guide you into the direction of what will suit you best! When my aunt had her treatments we had a blast picking out wigs... There are so many options, color choices, cuts, and styles to choose from! Best of luck! Unfortunatley treatments tend to change the texture of hair as well as its diameter!

What are the best hair wigs to buy?

I'm a cancer patient and I was given a free wig through the "Look good...feel better" organization. They offer help to cancer patients with many things (wigs and hair pieces included) Even if you are unable to get a free one, they can help you find wigs that look and feel good.

www.lookgoodfeelbetter.org

Something else that I prefered to a wig was "hat and hair". The hair velcro's into the hats. The hats are a bit expensive, but if you can sew at all, you can just buy your own hats and sew velcro into them. The hair is easy to take care of and no one has ever suspected that it wasn't real.

I want longer hair?

Try NIOXIN System 1, it works. I had a problem with growing hair as well. I cut my hair about 4 years ago, and I always used to put relaxers in my hair, and it was growing very slowly, until someone told me about the Nioxin system and it works great, my hair has grown the most this year, and it keeps growing healthy, thicker and stronger. Try it and let me know, its the system 1, they have other systems depending on your type of hair so check those out as well, hope that helped.

I want longer hair?

Either get extensions or wait for it to grow.

I want longer hair?

the reason why you dont grow loger hair is because your always braiding it. just let it out and have room for the roots to grow. and if you put too much grease your roots cant grow out.

I want longer hair?

some times it is beacuse you get your hair braided to much if you don't get it braded for a while you can put moistueriser in you r hair then get it cut it will grow tunns

I want longer hair?

You can't just use a "magical potion" to help grow your hair, you're just going to have to wait for it.

Hair grows on average a quarter inch per month, so just leave it alone and give it time. Condition it everyday, get it trimmed when it needs to be trimmed, and wash it when it needs to be washed (don't wash it everyday).

I want longer hair?

When I was little, my mom wanted my hair to be down to my butt, and she would rub tomato on my scalp. I don't recall it working, I was very little, maybe 6ish. Try it, it might work.

I want longer hair?

If you want long hair follow these steps! I know its alot but its worth it, BELIEVE ME!

(Step 1) Cut your hair. The secret to long hair? Strong hair. And that means getting rid of all damaged ends. So, believe it or not, your first step is to suck it up and head to the salon for a good snip.

(Step 2) Give yourself a head rush. Kick your hair follicles (and hair growth) into high gear by increasing circulation to your head. How? "There are three easy ways," says Riquette Holstein, author of Grow Hair Fast. One, get more exercise so your heart is pumping (yet another reason to get up off the couch). Two, flip your head upside-down once a day, brushing your hair from roots to ends (use a natural boar bristle brush to prevent breakage). Three, massage your scalp daily, using your fingertips. "You can do this while you are shampooing or just sitting around watching TV," says Riquette. "It feels really good!"

Step 3) Eat right. "You know That expression "You are what you eat"? Well, it happens to be true. Hair can only stay long and healthy if you eat well-balanced meals.

(Step 4) Stress less. Studies show that hair actually grows slower when you are stressed to the max. Your hair also needs a good night's sleep. So chill out, and get some shut-eye already.

(Step 5) Keep your hair clean. Oily roots and product build-up can clog follicles and prevent your hair from growing as quickly as possible--the max is about a half-inch per month.

(Step 6) Be kind to your hair. The longer your hair is, the older it is. So treat it with the respect it deserves. When you lather up, use gentle shampoos formulated for your hair type. Treat your locks once a week to a leave-in conditioner or hair mask. And try to lay off your blow-dryer, hot curlers and flat iron as much as possible.

(Step 7) Get regular trims. After eight weeks, your hair could be up to an inch longer. So don't leave all that hard-earned length on the salon floor. Ask your stylist to snip no more than an eighth of an inch, just to get rid of any split ends and end your above-the-shoulders hair rut forever.

EASYSTRAIGHT anti-frizz conditioning treatment, ever used it?

I just bought EASYSTRAIGHT anti-frizz conditioning treatment %26amp; it says it last 30 days. My hair is wavy/curlyish. When I first wash it with out doing anything to it ... it gets frizzy. I was wondering if I use the EASYSTRAIGHT product will it damage my hair .. because some ppl say don't use it because it really mess it up %26amp; some people say it works great! If you ever used it or know anyone who has can you please give me some info .. or if you know any other product that can make my hair straight %26amp; silky! THANKS %26lt;3

EASYSTRAIGHT anti-frizz conditioning treatment, ever used it?

i just used easystraight for the second time today. Im biracial and have very thick very curly frizzy hair. for me the first time I used it, 2 weeks ago, it didnt really work. But when I used it again today it worked a lot better. My hair is not damaged at all, I don't think the chemicals are harsh enough. I read reviews online about it before i bought it and i couldnt find any about the anti frizz I used, but they said the permanent relax was really bad. the anti frizz 30 day one is good, not the best but it definetly works, and it'll probably work better for you than me. I say go for it!

Also I would suggest sunsilk anti poof, and deep conditioning once a week. You can also try garnier fructis sleek and shine products. hope this helps!! good luck =]]

EASYSTRAIGHT anti-frizz conditioning treatment, ever used it?

Go to a hair place, and ask them to permanently straighten your hair. Of course it doesn't last forever, but it does last for about 5 months. It doesn't make your hair pin straight, but it relaxes it, so you can flat-iron it so much easier, and it adds a nice shine to your hair. Buying semi-permanent things can cost a lot of money and time, depending how thick/curly your hair is.

EASYSTRAIGHT anti-frizz conditioning treatment, ever used it?

Mush 8 strawberrys and mix with 1 tablespoon of mayonaise. Massage onto hair. Put shower cap over it, and then a warm towel, leave on for 1/2 hour. Then wash out.

~Gives healthy looking hair, shininess, and will give it a rich gloss~

Apply oils to your hair (Olive oil, almond oil, coconut oil.) Put a shower cap and leave on over night. When its morning, Shampoo and condition out.

~ Makes hair finer, which makes it smoother, softer, and silkier.~

Use a Natural Boar Bristle Brush. This brush takes the natural oils from your hair, and smoothes it out to your hair.

~Gives the hair a shiny and softer look and feel~

Rinse hair w/ cold water instead of warm.

~ Closes the cuticle of your hair and gives instant shine~

Deep condition your hair once a week (I like Garnier Fructis 3 min. conditioner)

~Hydrates dry hair, and gives it a healthy look.~

Lightly beat 2 eggs w/ a little bit of milk, massage into hair, and leave in for 5 min. Then shampoo and condition it out.

~ Gives softness and silkyness instantly!~

Conditioning after shampooing softens the cuticle of your hair.

~Making hair finer, for softer hair~

What should I be using in my mixed daughters hair as far as shampoos, conditioners, moisturizers, tr

she is only 3 1/2 years old. her hair on yhe top is a good grade, but the hair in the back is nappy. i've tried a lot of stuff in the past, but nothing seems to help the back. what should I use to wrap her head in at night while shes sleeping?

What should I be using in my mixed daughters hair as far as shampoos, conditioners, moisturizers, treatments..

Her hair texture will change as she ages so be very careful of what you put in her hair! I am mixed and I wish someone told my mom what I am about to tell you! Never brush her hair when it is dry! This aggravates the hair shaft and causes breakage and frizz. Always use a gentle shampoo! Baby shampoo is very good as it is very easy on the hair and cleanses well. Do not put chemicals in her hair! No relaxers or perms! When her hair is wet, use your fingers and a dab of conditioner to shape the curls. Use something gentle - look for conditioners that say "for color treated hair" as these are the most gentle and won't strip hair of it's natural oils. Also, and I know babies can be messy but try not to wash her hair every day! This will strip the hair of it's natural moisture and make it more unruly! On days you don't wash it, refresh the curls with your fingers and a little water. When she sleeps, do not wrap anything tightly around her hair! This actually causes more friction and more frizz. Instead, tie it in a loose ponytail. If her hair isn't long enough yet - let it grow! Many people just want to cut away the bad! Not a good idea! In fact, longer hair adds weight to the curl making it less tight and easier to style because the weight of the hair does most of the work! It should be at least to her mid back (when a curl is pulled straight) for you to get the full benefit. On days you don't want to style her hair, use clips to hold the front sections in place or do a braid (not micro-braids though because these can damage the hair when they are removed). Remember this - the nicer you are to her hair, the nicer it will be to you! Treat her hair well now and it should come out well! Good luck!

What should I be using in my mixed daughters hair as far as shampoos, conditioners, moisturizers, treatments..

Just cute it and trim it. Try oiling it as well. Coconut oil is good. Put a mild shampoo for her. She is a baby. Hair is normally like this until they become 10.

Hair Issues>>?

Okay so i have really dry, damaged hair and i do all the treatments you can buy at the store but they eather work for a bit and stop or they make things worse. %26amp;%26amp; now im begining to lose hair %26amp;%26amp; im only 16 :'( HELP!!!!!!!!!! What do i do, do you know any home treatments or good brands to try expecially in this cold, dry time of year!

HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...

Hair Issues%26gt;%26gt;?

olive oil

Hair Issues%26gt;%26gt;?

My hair is somewhat damaged and when I noticed it getting worse I stopped straightening it and curling it and wearing my hair naturaly curly. My advice is to stop doing what your doing and give your hair a break. i.e if you use heat on it everyday, then give it a break for a while and you should see improvment. I did.

Hair Issues%26gt;%26gt;?

go into a salon and have a professional help you. it might be a little bit expensive but it sounds like you need it. let the stylist do whatever they need to and buy some brand-name moisturizing shampoo and conditioner while you're there.

Hair Issues%26gt;%26gt;?

What have you done to make your hair so brittle and damaged? That is what will determine what specific products to use. Really any deep conditioner or leave in will help protect hair, but without seeing it, it is hard to tell you what to use. Don't use any heat or hot styling tools and use a wide tooth comb, not a brush to get tangles or knots out. And whatever you do, do not use any chemicals to color, highlight or change your hair color or texture until your hair is healthy again.

Hair Issues%26gt;%26gt;?

aswell as using the right products (probably best to ask your hairdresser) it helps to eat food with lots of nutrients and drink lots of water to keep your hair healthy

Why is my hair so dry at the scalp???

im tired of using hair relaxers to fix this

will hot oil treatment help it look less PUFFY

or coconut oil????

Why is my hair so dry at the scalp???

Relaxers is what drying it out. The relaxer must not touch the scalp when applying. All you have to do is apply a hair dressing to hair and scalp and message it in and there will be no more dry scalp.

Use Luster's Pink Oil Moisturing Lotion or what ever your choice of hair oil and use just a little if your using a hair oil, too much will make it greasy and limp.

Why is my hair so dry at the scalp???

I had this problem too, I use baby oil. I put it in my scalp with a cotton ball, I covered with a plastic cap, them I wait for 30 minutes and I washed it, I do 2 or 3 times a week.

Why is my hair so dry at the scalp???

Try using a product called Cholesterol. You can find in most stores, including beauty supply stores. It helped me with my dry scalp.

Help! I hate the texture of my hair...any advice?

Okay so my hair is a little damaged from dying it and using heat hair tools- blow dryer and flat iron. I haven't dyed it for a couple months because I'm trying to give it a break. I use a flat iron and/or dryer 3-4 times a week. I feel like I have tried every product and home treatment possible to improve the texture of my hair and nothing has worked for me- even the expensive stuff I've only seen a SLIGHT improvement. The problem with my hair is that there is moderate breakage so it is dry and brittle, it is slightly frizzy, and also slightly wavy. Do you have any recommendations for treatments or products I can use to bring shine back to my hair? To make it soft, supple, and smooth?

Also, I don't like to always style it straight, but everytime I try to scrunch it with mousse, volume gel, and a diffuser it just looks like a bad perm from the 80s...its all fluffy and frizzy, when what I'm going for is pretty, subtle waves! Any good products, tools, or strategies for this?

Try some John Freida Frizz Ease. Put it on your hair while it is still wet. The you can let it dry naturally (curls) or blow dry it. It well help the shine and cut down the frizz.

Hair Transplants.....?

As yet there is no permanent guaranteed way to replace hair loss.. suddenly donning a wig is ridiculous...most transplants look like dolls hair growth....yet some guys can get really self concious about their receding hair line.....

Question is.... do you think that removing the whole scalp and turning it round (so the back is at the front) will have better results than any other treatment yet available? and no its not a hair-brained question...to me it sounds a good idea...but what would be the consequences if any? Pony tail tickling yer nose....?

Hair Transplants.....?

eww, that sounds interesting humm...what about around the ear?? you would have massive side burns!!

I think it would look obvious because your hair grows from the back toward the front. Even though we are not aware of it, if you turned the scalp around it would become noticable that it was done.

Hair Transplants.....?

Hair Transplant surgery has become very common now. My cousin got her breast reduction, tummy tuck and facelift surgery in India by the company called Forerunners Healthcare .The Price for the surgery she paid in India was very less. She paid 30% of the cost she was quoted in America.

Forerunners Healthcare is very famous in India. They arrange cosmetic and plastic surgery for foreigners in India. I read a lot about them in the Newspapers and about their patient stories. They arrange financing for USA, Canadian, UK and other international patients who plan to have surgery abroad for low price, as the breast reduction, tummy tuck, facelift and other cosmetic surgery is not covered by insurance. They also have photos pasted of their International patients. You can checkout their website. There are huge cost savings. As a doctor I personally believe that surgery can be easily handled in India, as the quality of healthcare available In India is simply best in the world. The surgeons are USA/UK trained and facilities are 5 star.

Many patients travel from United States of America and UK to get low cost surgery in India. Indian corporate hospitals are comparable to hospitals anywhere in the world. In fact, India has medical facilities that are comparable with the USA, UK and Canada. India offers World Class Medical Facilities, comparable with any of the western countries. India has state of the art Hospitals and the best medical experts. With the best infrastructure, the best possible Medical facilities, accompanied with the most competitive prices, you can get the treatment done in India at the lowest prices.

What can I use to treat a spot on my head that is losing hair?

Please help me! I am in need and on my head, there's this one spot where it looks like I'm bald or something. My hair is thin but it looks bad. What kind of treatment can I use? Please. I am being made fun of all the time and I feel really terrible.

What can I use to treat a spot on my head that is losing hair?

There are severeal forms of baldenss. If it is Androgenetic alopecia (male pattern baldness) then the hairloss cannot be fully cured in most cases, but just frozen for some time with the treatments availiable on market today.

1) Hair transplant (FUE technology) creates really natural hairline, no scars, the best way to go if you have enough donor hair and money of course.

2. Propecia (Finasteride) and Minoxidil are the only ones approved by FDA and proven to work in most men so far.

Generic Propecia (finasteride) is also ok. I use it with same results, and unfortunately same sides(a bit dry feeling in the scalp) as brand propecia. Have tried lots of herbal crap before it and laser combs, so far the only thing that prevents my hairloss, not much regrowth, but has stopped my hairloss completely.

I buy from this pharmacy for the last 2 years - http://www.1rx.biz/generic_propecia.html . It is under $1 per pill as I buy the 90 pills. (89$ for 90)

What can I use to treat a spot on my head that is losing hair?

You might have a fungal infection -- so run to the doctor and get the shampoo to treat it.

What can I use to treat a spot on my head that is losing hair?

Make sure you don't have ringworm of the scalp (it's a fungal infection). It will cause you to lose hair in that spot. It's tenacious, and you will probably need oral medication to get rid of it...it is not like ringworm on other parts of your body.

What can I use to treat a spot on my head that is losing hair?

You can use rogain (if you're a man) and if you're not they have this balding cream that you can get at like (walmart, walgreens, etc...) that you can buy for pretty cheap that should take care of that for you.

What can I use to treat a spot on my head that is losing hair?

My wife had a spot on her head and she saw a Dr. . The doctor gave her some kind of ointment and ti fixed it right up. See a doctor right a way. Good Luck!

What can I use to treat a spot on my head that is losing hair?

Finasteride, a pill or minoxidol, atopical ointment or hair transplants. the latter has a 99% success rate, but runs $10-15 per plug, min. $5000 per procedure. Finasteride is a prescription drug and runs about $800 per year. Success rate varies, full restoration= 10-15%, Discernable growth= 20-40%, benign growth= remainder. Note this is not target specific and may not enhance the area you desire. Minoxidil on the other hand is specific and its sussess rate is only slightly lower than Finasteride and it is slightly cheaper.

Hair emergency!!!!?

ok, so i had my hair straighten like a month and a half ago %26amp; the results wasn`t that good. it`s not that straight because part of my hair`s like curly%26amp;dry %26amp; other`s straight. I don`t know what to do!! I do my own treatment, it kinda work for awhile then i go to a saloon to do treatment, it kinda last 3 days.

So, I`ve waited for like one and a half month to dye my hair but after dying it, it`s get worse! it`s curlier than ever on the surface %26amp; it kinda tangles! I hate it!!! \

What cause this %26amp; how should i deal with it?!?!?

Hair emergency!!!!?

I don't know if you are a man or a woman. But, this is nuts. It seems you can't live with your hair in its natural style. Keep messing with it and you will lose it. For healthy hair it has to be given a proteinized shampoo with vitamin e. Followed by a proteinized conditioner with vitamin e, also. Try to avoid shampoos and conditioners with harsh chemicals and alcohol. And eat a healthy diet. Ever hear the saying, "You are what you eat."

Hair emergency!!!!?

try to make it work, curl the rest of your hair

Hair emergency!!!!?

ummm.. wow, i would suggest you stay calm and go straight to the show are wash everything out of your hair! they brush your hair and braid it and put it in a bun! hope that helped, i would run to a hair salon, and ask what conditioner is good for your hair, and dye only makes your hair thicker so i would definetly tell the salonist your history with dyes.

good luck;]

Hair emergency!!!!?

You could shave it off, or straighten it again.

Hair emergency!!!!?

You need to get a hair treatment asap at a professional salon. There they can give you good tips on how to straighen your kind of hair.

Hair emergency!!!!?

It sounds like you hair needs more protein instead of moisture to correct the problem. Go to a salon and ask for a shampoo and cond. for brittle hair, but once you finish with the bottles of shampoo and conditioner, go back to moisture because the protein will strengthen your hair, but if overused it can dry it out and give it horrible texture!!

Hair emergency!!!!?

don't do anything else to it! such as dying, permanately straightening, etc. your hair will fall out! did you try a straightener? i know it takes more time but if that's what it takes to make your hair straight and that's the way you want it, that's what you should do.

Dry, frizzy hair from bleaching. Help!?

To be brief, I've bleached my hair a lot and now my hair is frizzy, dry, fluffy and wavy. Mostly after I wash it. It's always kind of been like that, but it's gotten considerably worse what with all the bleaching. It gets tangled very easily and it's frustrating to deal with. Is there any kind of cheap trick or home treatment I can do/use to repair my hair or at least make it more manageable? I heard hot oil treatments are good. I'm not sure though, I'd appreciate any advice.

Dry, frizzy hair from bleaching. Help!?

def. hot oil

or eggs whites, you put them in your wet hair and put a shower cap over and then in the morning rinse it out w/ cold cold water.

and if you're willing to spend a little more money, the chi flat iron makes hair look really really smooth no matter how damaged. and if you get their hair heat protector stuff it can prevent it from more heat damage.

Dry, frizzy hair from bleaching. Help!?

i like the intensive reconstructor by pyhto organics but they also have a more heavy duty one that i member seeing at the hair show.. i just got the other one because my hair isnt too bad just gets dry from all the heat. I would suggest visiting the nexxus website and gettin a treatment from there. I love the organics line.. it works great

Dry, frizzy hair from bleaching. Help!?

Yay! I'm a fish!

Dry, frizzy hair from bleaching. Help!?

If your hair is not too short maybe you can give it a nice cut and try not to put nothing in your hair for awhile, only like moose is good ( I use Suave moose) Tilt your head forward while still damp and use about a good palm size depending on your hair length put all in and around your hair then put some in your roots area (that would give you a nice body) don't brush out just let air dry if you feel it might be alittle too crispy feeling...lol use a pick start from underneath the hair and bring out not too far out, just enough to give alittle more relaxed and natural look.Good Luck!!!

PS hot oil treatments are good too once in awhile don't for get to give your hair a fresh trim also every now and then

Dry, frizzy hair from bleaching. Help!?

Your hair has gone like that because of the high amount of peroxide.

When you wash your hair, shampoo it twice to give it a good wash, then run some treatment through it. Aussi 3 Minute Miracle is great. They come in little packets and leave your hair feeling nourished and soft. And the smell is gorgeous!

Also, before drying or straightening your hair, run some heat protection through it =)

PlEASE ANSWER HAIR STYLIST OR ANONE THAT KNOWS ABOUT HAIR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...

oh my your hair must be so damaged straightening your hair every day is horrible and move your showers to 4 times a week your hair needs a shower at least 4 times a week and also you dont have to straighten it everyday gel your hair or hairspray your hair straight back into a ponytail or in a bun it looks good straight back it give it a very clean look and maybe try to lay off the hairdyes your hair is going to start falling out if you straighten it everyday and have chemicals in it so instead of straightening it and giving your hair split ends constantly get a magic straight which is permanently chemically straighten your hair at a salon sure its damage to your hair but it wouldnt make a difference since your hair may already be through a lot of damage

PlEASE ANSWER HAIR STYLIST OR ANONE THAT KNOWS ABOUT HAIR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...

im not sure on your question but i do have a tip for you a couple weeks ago i got highlights put in and the lady that did my hair said dont use dove or any of the cheap shampoos you want to use like professional hair products or else it will take the color out of your hair.

PlEASE ANSWER HAIR STYLIST OR ANONE THAT KNOWS ABOUT HAIR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...

Give it a chop instead. Then the curlyness goes away and you can have short hair. I AM serious.

I have really curly, frrizzy hair are at home perm treatments good?

And do they work? if so how long do they last?

I have really curly, frrizzy hair are at home perm treatments good?

Don"t do it.Straighteners are the harness chem. I work with. It could cause severe damage and take 1 to2 years to repair. Start with good shp. %26amp;cond. (salon products) such as Sleek Looks by Matrix. If u still want to get done, go to prof. who is recomended to you

I have really curly, frrizzy hair are at home perm treatments good?

try it or go ask your hair stylest

I have really curly, frrizzy hair are at home perm treatments good?

I would not recommend using a at home perm at all. You are taking a risk of really frying your hair! I would go to a salon and let them fix it. If it is very frizzy try using gel or mousse.

How do I use a hair mask?

I want to use Schwarzkopf Bonacure Hairtherapy Repair Rescue Treatment. Do I use it as a hair conditioner? How long do I leave it on my hair?

How do I use a hair mask?

Well I use a hair mask every week and this is what I do. I was my hair with Shampoo then follow with my regular conditioner and rinse out. Then i follow with my hair mask and leave for around 5 minutes, after that I rinse it off then dry my hair with a towel. A tip that a load of people use though is to apply the hair mask then wrap a towel on your head and let the treatment soak in for around 10 minutes then like before rinse it off. Hope this helps. :)

How do I use a hair mask?

after shampoo rinse it off nicely. n towel dry if possible or else squeeze the excess water. apply hair masque, leave it for 5 mins n rinse it off. u can subsitute it as conditioner....

Beached damaged hair HELP!!?

As a hairdresser of 20 something years. This is the kind of scenario that just make a hairdresser go "what the, are people thinking"? Some people are so out there in their unknowledgable, unrealistic way of thinking about color. I read so much of that on these color questions. I try and reply politely and with an answer that may help the person or any one else in that situation. I try to not make people feel bad. But, I have got to tell you. You did this to yourself. Hopefully you learned a lesson that you do not know what you are doing. The damage is done. You have already fried your hair. When hair is dead, it is dead. There is no bringing it back to life. No matter what anyone tells you to do to it. You will have to eventually cut every fried, dry, funky peice of that melted crap off. It will only get worse, the longer you do not cut it off. Go ahead, do your baby trim, you will keep bumping up against nappy hair. Till you cut it "ALL" off!

After your cut, have a professional Protien treatment to treat the rest of whats left. As to strenghten and prevent further damage.

Do not put more color on your fried nappy hair. You think you are crying now. O%26gt;M%26gt;G. You will be out of your mind.

None of those things you are putting on your hair are going to do a thing for your situation.

Go see a professional today. Do not wait.

Beached damaged hair HELP!!?

Use "Dawn" dish washing liquid as your 1st. shampoo lather..(It is a Grease Cuter).Carefully comb thru to the ends...Let it stay in for about 5 minutes...Follow with a moisturizing shampoo %26amp; Conditioner (Conditioner at least 10 minutes w/cap)...and Stop Your Crying, YOU SHOULD ALWAYS HAVE A PROFESSIONAL PERFORM CHEMICAL SERVICES....(Bleach,Perms %26amp; Coloring are damaging agents and require the Knowledge of a Pro...)

I'm afraid to tell you about "Vinegar" you kitchen beautician....It might cause you to have to do some cutting.....So go to a Pro. OK?

Beached damaged hair HELP!!?

Get yourself to a salon - pay the big bucks to have them fix it, and don't do stuff like that at home again. Doesn't "pay" to try save money!
